Myochin Hibashi Wind Chime (明珍火箸風鈴) is a traditional Japanese wind chime with a deep history. The Myochin family has been a lineage of armor makers since the Heian period. As the demand for armor declined in the Meiji era, the 48th-generation craftsman began making hibashi (fire chopsticks). Later, in 1965, the 52nd-generation artisan created the first Myochin Hibashi Wind Chime, known for its clear, resonant tone that lingers beautifully in the air.
