PPR80 - The Cusp Of Infirmity

As a Jew raised and Jewish blooded human - who loves Israel and comes from Zionist grand parents -  talking about Israel / Gaza / is hard. It just is - and as someone who prides themselves on speaking my truth - regardless of consequences - I am embarrassed to say that I have  been avoiding this topic at least publicly - on the internet - because DUH this is scary to talk about. 

I made like 7 podcasts after October 7th - AND I WAS TOO CHICKEN SHIT TO POST them - because I was scared / I just felt like I needed more education before saying ANYTHING that would publicly anger people more than I already do. I know. It's gross and I geuinely am embarrassed about it. HOWEVER.... let's DO THIS....

I proudly stand by Bassem - and anyone fighting for human decency - and peace.  Since I could think independently - I have spiritually and mentally rejected the propaganda that was shoved down my throat in Hebrew School - and I reject it now. 

Being a Jew does not equal being a Zionist. I do not want to be a hurt person who hurts people. Ive been praying for the first time - in a long time - not sure exactly to what or who...for and end to this barbaric blood drenched quest for more land. 

It is devestating that somehow after all the "lessons" that were suppose to come from being persecuted - being Jewish is quickly becoming synonymous with being persecutors.

הרב אפרים כחלון, נולד בעיר נתניה, ישראל, למד והתחנך בתלמוד תורה "עוללים". בגיל 13 נכנס לישיבת "נחלת דוד" בפתח תקווה. במהלך לימודיו בישיבה עד נישואיו עם הרבנית שרה שתחיה, סיים את 
הש"ס בבלי וירושלמי מספר פעמים, מסר שיעורי תורה והלכה, ואף הוציא את ספרו הראשון "אך טוב לישראל", עוד לפני היותו בן 20.
 
 לאחר נישואיו, החל בלימודי רבנות ודיינות במוסדות "יורו משפטיך" של הרב גדעון בן משה בירושלים, קיבל עשר הסמכות לרבנות, ולומד באינטנסיביות לקבלת הסמכתו כדיין.
 
 במהלך השנים, הרב כחלון פרסם 7 ספרים משלו, ביניהם: סדרת "אך טוב לישראל"- שו"ת בנושאי הלכה מגוונים ורלוונטים, סדרת "דורש טוב"- חידושים מאירי עיניים וסיפורים מעניינים על פרשות השבוע, מועדי ישראל ואירועים יהודים שונים, פירוש על מגילת אסתר, ועוד. בנוסף, ערך ושיכתב כ-40 ספרים אחרים עבור רבנים גדולים, וספרו החדש "אך טוב לישראל-חלק ג" יצא לאור באדר 5778.
 
בשנת 2016 יסד יחד עם הרב ירון ראובן, את חברת הפצת התורה "בעזרת השם". הרב כחלון והרב ראובן מוסרים שיעורים אינטרנטיים, נותנים הרצאות בארץ ומחוצה לה, והשפיעו על  חייהם של רבים, לחזרה בתשובה והתקרבות לחיי תורה. 
בסיעתא דשמיא, ישנן כיום מעל 600 הרצאות מקוונות בנושאים שונים, כולל הלכה, מוסר, אנטי-מיסיונרים, פרשת השבוע, פרקי אבות, תיקון המידות ועוד. 

ארגון "בעזרת השם" מוציא לאור ומפיץ (גם באופן חינמי) דיסקים המכילים שיעורי תורה, ספרי הלכה, פוסטרים הקשורים לנושאים תורניים, וערכות קירוב המכילות ספרים ושיעורי תורה; בנוסף, ארגון "בעזרת השם" מלווה אנשים בתהליך גיור לאורך כל הדרך, בנתינת שיעורים, הדרכה, תמיכה רגשית ואף מימון כלכלי לגיור דרך בתי דין אורתודוקסיים מוכרים,  ומסייע בכל הנצרך, כדי לעזור לבעלי תשובה וגרי-צדק להתקרב לתורה ומצוות

Rav Efraim Kachlon's Bio



Rabbi Efraim Kachlon was born in Netanya, Israel, beginning his Torah studies in Olelim Talmud Torah and later advancing to the Nahalat David Yeshiva in Petach Tikvah.  In addition to his daily yeshiva studies, Rabbi Efraim completed the Talmud Bavli and Yerushalmi multiple times, gave many lectures in Torah and Halacha, attained his first rabbinical semicha (Shechita), and even published his first Halachic Responsa book, Ech Tov L’Yisrael (Part 1) before his marriage to Rabbanit Sarah at the age of 20 years old.  
After his marriage, Rabbi Efraim began his rabbinical studies and Dayanut (rabbinic judge) at the Yoru Mishpatecha Institutions of Rav Gideon Ben Moshe in Jerusalem.   He has since attained 10 different rabbinical semichot (ordinances) and is in the intensive process of attaining his Dayanut.  
In 2016, Rabbi Efraim Kachlon and Rabbi Yaron Reuven founded the Kiruv organization BeEzrat HaShem Inc.  Both Rabbi’s have spoken at hundreds of lectures in the US and Israel, and have influenced many people around the world to adopt a Torah observant lifestyle.  Rabbi Efraim has more than 600 lectures posted online on various subjects, such as Halacha, Mussar, Weekly Parasha, and Anti-missionary and more. 
Over the years, Rabbi Efraim has ghostwritten and edited over 40 books for great Rabbi’s, as well as published seven (7) of his own books, including: 
Ach Tov L’Yisrael (Parts 1 - 3)—a Responsa on various halachic issues
Doresh Tov (Parts 1-3)—Enlightening chidushim and interesting stories about the weekly Torah Parasha, Eash tractate of the Talmud Bavli, Jewish holidays, and varies events.
Commentary on Megillat Esther.  
Baruch HaShem, part 3 of his Halachic Responsa Ach Tov L’Yisrael was just published in Adar 5778, (February 2018).
