Jeremiah 1:9

Then the LORD reached out His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, ‘I have put My words in your mouth.’

- The Lord will equip you for every situation that you face.
- He will give you the right words to speak at the right time.
- When we speak His wisdom (words) it carries divine authority.
- His touch transforms our lives from ordinary to extraordinary.

Prayer: Lord, come in Your strength and in Your power and touch my life. Help me not to operate under my own wisdom, but may I function under Your anointing and favour. May every word I speak bring life and hope to those around me. Amen.

‘You need to persevere, so that after you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.’

- Patient endurance is what you need now.
- Giving up or throwing in the towel, is not the answer.
- Holding on and believing for God’s goodness and favour is the way to go.
- He is faithful to ensure that what He has promised will be realised.

Prayer: Lord, I declare that I am holding on to You and Your promises for me. You have a hope and a future in store for me and I can look ahead with confidence and expectation. Amen.

‘You have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat.’

- No matter what you are facing, the Lord is exactly Who you need.
- He knows how to handle lack, distress and the heat and storms of life.
- He provides the strength, the refuge and the protection you need.
- He brings life and hope into our situations and circumstances.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You are all I need. You know every struggle that I am facing and You know the solution in every situation of life. I look to You and to Your mighty strength. Amen.

‘Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.’

- The present moment we live in is the most valuable moment of our lives.
- The past is over and nothing can change what happened there.
- The future is unknown and not guaranteed.
- Today is yours, use it to make a difference and take advantage of the opportunity.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that each day You give me is a gift from Your hand. I don’t need to live in the past. I will trust You with my tomorrows and today I choose to make good use of the time You have given me. Amen.

‘In You, LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame.’

- You have a Refuge and your place of safety is in God alone.
- He is your safe place – the place to which you can run in every situation.
- As we trust in Him, He steps in to shield us from shame and despair.
- He wants to lift you up and wrap His arms around you.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that in every situation and all circumstances I can come to You. You are my mighty Fortress and in You I can find safety, hope and courage. Amen.

This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Give careful thought to your ways.’

- We should not rush into things, but we should prayerfully ask God to lead us.
- When we do things our way, it doesn’t always have the desired result.
- When we do things His way, the Lord causes things to grow.
- Realigning with God’s purposes brings restoration, fruitfulness and peace.

Prayer: Lord, I realise that Your ways are always the best thing for my life and future. I don’t want to do things according to my ideas, but I want to follow Your direction and leading. Help me to give careful and prayerful thought to my choices and decisions. Amen.

‘I will lead them beside streams of water on a level path where they will not stumble.’

- The Lord has wonderful plans for you.
- He wants to guide you out of discouragement and into a better space.
- The place He has for you is beside streams of water and on a level path.
- Stumbling and falling is not part of His plan for your life!

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the good things that You have prepared for me. Lead me, and bring me to that place where I can enjoy the ‘streams of water’ and the ‘level path’ that You have made ready for me. Amen.

‘A heart at peace gives life to the body…’

- Real inner peace comes from trusting in God.
- There are many things that would like to rob us of our peace.
- We need to recognise when our peace is being stolen and put a stop to it.
- When our hearts are at peace, every other aspect of our lives can thrive.

Prayer: Lord, thank You that I can trust in You and therefore I can enjoy Your peace in my heart and life. I choose peace over conflict and rest over distress. Fill my heart with Your peace today I pray. Amen.

- The Lord wants to strengthen you today.
- He will come and empower you for every challenge you may face.
- The Lord will give the victory to those who trust in Him.
- You can celebrate, because the outcome is in God’s hands.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the strength that You give to me to be able to face the challenges of life. I look forward to the victory You have in store for me and choose to let this hope become my song and my reward. Amen.
