if you see this, i wanted to start a tradition of making a little excerpt for every release of mine. it’s a little more for myself and this one will be longer so if u wanna read it, then without further ado

the first idea for this track was put down while i was shitting in an airbnb for vacation (yes, i like to often produce while i shit). the overall remix is hardly similar to the original aside from the main melody. actually at first i wasn't even particularly fond of my version, but the goal was to actually finish a song for once so i stuck with it and it eventually grew on me a lot. at this point, i'm extremely proud of what i made

this song is a culmination of some of my favorite tastes in dance music: trance-like melodies, banging electro/bigroom house drops, a progressive style, and of course, supersaws. obviously i have a musical palette beyond this and i want to branch out a LOT, but these sounds are what i love to make often

i've been producing off and on since 2012 when i first got introduced to dance music officially. i composed my musical ideas to some extent and kept bouncing to another before ever finishing. i graduated college in may, so this is a new leaf for me to really take music more seriously. since my achilles heel is that i can count on my hands how many tracks i've actually "finished" and mentally/emotionally felt satisfied walking away from, i don't have a lot of experience mixing/mastering

with that said, it’s hard for me to ever “finish” anything because i know it’s not at the professional level yet. i know i can do so much better mixing, mastering, etc. the caveat is there’s an incredible amount more i need to learn to get to that level. so there’s a slippery slope between endlessly trying to perfect a song from applying new knowledge or knowing when to finish it and continue learning/applying on another song. of course, this comes at the cost of settling and accepting something is “good enough,” which doesn’t particularly sit well with me. a different perspective i’m trying to acknowledge is that comparison is the thief of joy—and as along as i continue learning new things each time and improve upon myself, that’s more than “good enough”

random fun facts about the track: the bassline in the 2nd progressive-style drop is the same bassline in the 1st drop; according to FL studio i've spent 222 hours on the track (but that's total time the project has been opened and i def left it open overnight a bunch of times so take that number with a grain of salt. but still)

i could yap on and on about this so i will leave it at that. i hope you enjoy the listen:)

Born in Berlin 1978 as a son of a well known real estate manager from Hamburg, 
Falko Niestolik started his career about 10 years ago with a simple house and breakbeat record at his local clubs. 

His first record he bought by himself, was released on the famous label “Ministry of Sound”. By purchasing this nice piece of music the cornerstone was set for his career as a DJ, producer and musician. 

During school time he spent all his pocket money for the latest records, and therefore played always the hottest tracks as a DJ.

In 2004 he started his first production and remixes in a small studio in Hamburg. Initially for DJ-use only, but rumours of his talent spread quickly in the German house scene. 
  
Over the past 3 years he produced remixes for icons such as Axwell, Steve Angello, Michael Jackson (official), Jerry Ropero, Syke ´n´Sugarstarr, Ian Carey, Chris Lake, Tom Novy, 49ers, Capella, Richard Grey, Albin Myers, Robbie Riviera & many  more! 

But not only the demand of his remixes increased over the years, also his own single releases such as "In My Life", “Cha Cha Cha” or “For The Love of Sound” are finding their way onto the playlists of the worlds most popular DJs including David Guetta, Bob Sinclair, Roger Sanchez and The Swedish House Mafia.

Compilation .. s with which he published each year in ZYX Music (including for Sunshine LIVE) & his weekly radio show which is broadcast worldwide, and a lot of hard work, he goes his way. 

Falko is playing at all international venues with e.g. Tiesto (official support) in Vienna, David Guetta in Graz ( A ), Mousse T., Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Spiller, Tom Novy, Bob Sinclar, Paul van Dyk ... and many more, and he also played back in the U.S., Canada, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Albania, Ukraine, Belgium, Poland, Russia and Holland only in 2010. 

He loves to play clubs but events like Tiesto in Vienna 2009, where he as a support act for the official party, he set more than 10.000 clubbers on fire for over 6 hours, which isn’t an uncommon thing for him to do!

Most recently Falko appeared at festivals such as Ruhr In Love, Mayday, Danue Festival ( MTV Stage Vienna ) and Nature One.
