Ymir also talks about their relationship with their chest and how it has evolved from hatred and constant binding, to an acceptance and the need for more diverse representation of different trans bodies.

 Reading “Of Myth and Memento Mori” on a rainy September afternoon, I was transported to Halloween. I could smell autumn as I walked the haunted trails of a pumpkin farm, feel my hands grow warmer as they held a steaming cup of hot chocolate, and see the mist and the secrets it held. Enchanted by these things, and the naturally smooth storytelling, I knew this was a book for Fika, and my Halloween pick for 2024. 

We’ll also be looking into one of Victoria’s series “The Binding Universe.”  There are many more.
