This song is a heartfelt celebration of my brother Shawn’s quiet strength and the way he spoke to the world through his music. This year’s song is different—because instead of focusing on loss, I wanted to celebrate Shawn’s life, his quiet strength, and the way he truly spoke through his guitar. My brother was never one for the spotlight; he was gentle, reserved, and carried more inside than he ever said out loud. But when he picked up a guitar, the room would fill with music and something in him would shine. He was the kind of person whose presence brought comfort, even in silence.

Last year, my tribute was about the pain of losing him—the unanswered questions and the ache he left behind. But this year, I wanted to remember the light: the warmth he shared, the hope he strummed into every chord, and the bond we had through music even when words failed. This song honors Shawn as I remember him best—not just as someone I lost, but as the brother who watched over me, whose melodies linger, and whose love still echoes through every note.

Hopefully you're here because you listened to one of my tracks and if so, thank you! Now let's not beat around the bush here, I create all of the music that you here on this page with the help and support of AI - but, before you go anywhere.. that doesn't mean sitting back and letting the machine do all of the work. Every song starts with an idea, a feeling, or a line I can't shake (normally written down in the Notes app on my phone). I guide the sound, shape the tone, write the lyrics, and curate the atmosphere down to the tiniest of notes in the background. It's very much a way to get down an idea that's in my head and into my headphones in quicker time than learning how to play each individual instrument and layering the sections together! What can I say.. I'm impatient.

So, yes- the tech helps, but the heart is mine. What you hear is made and owned by me - imperfections and all! I don't earn a penny from uploading these tracks, I share them on Soundcloud because it genuinely brings me joy to see the final product come to life.
