I wrote “Blåhaj” from a place of longing — not as someone who is a trans woman, but as someone who’s felt that deep ache of wanting to be.

There’s a strange, quiet grief that comes with knowing who you might’ve been if things were different. If you were allowed. If you had the language, the support, the timing. And sometimes, that grief attaches itself to something soft — like a stuffed shark. A silly plush that so many people turned into a symbol of comfort, safety, gender euphoria, or survival.

For me, Blåhaj became a stand-in for the girl I never got to be. The version of myself I dreamed about — the one who felt right in her skin. Writing this song was my way of honoring her. Of talking to her. Of holding her the way no one else ever did.

It’s not just about a toy. It’s about softness in a hard world. It’s about identity, and the versions of ourselves we still carry, even if we never got to live them out loud.

22 yo dude, Terrible at singing, but im very ambitious hehe.
My guitar is always out of tune for some reason. Weird.
I was making ai songs bc i thought well lets jump on this band wagon and see if i can reach the goals i could never get to.
Well reached those goals, had 300k streams just in the last half of the year compared to 1/3 of that many streams over the past 5 years. This ai stuff is rigged.
Now im making my own songs again, like before hehe.
I mean my parents say my vocals need alot of work lol.
One day i hope someone will find me and help me improve.
