An experiment in using eurorack modular, interfaced with arp2600 (well, behringer's clone), to make something musical and generative.  Ornaments and Crime, Disting EX and some simple custom eurorack modules are the main driving forces, with 2600 lending its VCOs, VCF and VCAs

Modular Gamelan | Ritual Electronics | Sonic Myth by Artur Tokhtash

In the shadows of an ancient forest — ARANYA — a signal awakens.
Crafted entirely on modular synthesizers, PRIMEVAL ARANYA is a three-part sonic ritual invoking insectoid transmissions, lost dawn rhythms of Siam, and the final breath of bronze blossoms.

A fusion of high-tech chaos and sacred Southeast Asian sound, this is not an album—it’s a myth unfolding in sound.



Track I: Mandible Relay

Insectoid Transmission | Hive Signal | Alien Ritual
A crackling swarm speaks in modulated code.
Chitin clicks, antennae spark.
This is the voice of non-human creators—mechanical yet organic, pure instinct encoded in fractured rhythm.



Track II: Siametron

Siam Dawn Pulse | Ritual Tempo | Clockwork Temple
A metronome carved from sunrise and memory.
The machines remember the kings.
Each beat is a step toward awakening—a ceremonial clock ticking in the ruins of a luminous past.



Track III: Lament of Bronze Blossoms

Gamelan Dirge | Sonic Mourning | Final Transmission
Bronze blooms cry into silence.
The gamelan dissolves, ringing into extinction.
A final broadcast from the forest-spirit ARANYA, fading with dignity into the deep hum of forgetting.

I am Artur Tokhtash, a composer and sound artist.
My music unfolds at the intersection of classical tradition and sonic art: preludes, improvisations, and electroacoustic structures are not genres, but forms of memory and breath.

For me, sound is ritual. Each piece is not merely a composition but a trace of presence, an echo of vanished spaces, a light from places that may no longer exist.
The piano, in my preludes, becomes a vessel — an instrument that carries not only melody but also the silence between notes.

My works do not function as background. They are spaces for listening, inviting the listener into a state where music becomes both signal and transformation.
