This mix was for a podcast series I was planning to start called 'Something Different'. The idea was that it would kickstart the series, but life got in the way and it was put on the backburner. I figure, rather than it collecting dust on my hard drive, it would be put to better use inside of peoples earholes.

It floats around a downtempo vibe covering ambient, jazz, straight up orchestral pieces, electronica, beats and much more. I challenged myself to include music I wouldn't normally play in a traditional chill mix, so there are some abstract pieces throughout. I hope it assists in making it an interesting listening experience!

An innovative flutist and composer Lucas Jordan is recognised for his commitment towards innovative projects that aim to reconnect music with society such as "Concerti in Giardino @ Villa Torrione", "The Invisible Cities Project", "dsharpgents | re:staging music" and "Wenn heute sich mit gestern vermischt". He is the artistic director of "das kurze festival" in Zurich, Switzerland and co-founder of the Guainumbi Ensemble in London, UK. 
As a flutist he has performed in Europe and the Americas working closely with international musicians, dancers, actors and important composers of today. As a composer his music has been commissioned and performed in many countries in Europe, South America and Asia. 
Born in Brazil and having lived in the USA, Brazil, Switzerland and England, Lucas Jordan studied at the Zurich University of Arts, Switzerland and the Royal Academy of Music, London.
He currently divides his time between London and Zurich

Dadaistic music since 1904! 
Somehow I wanted to post my old, "chaotic" or fallen out of style recordings here, but within the last year I got the taste again and produce new stuff as Dr. Zwakkus.

I don't see sense in nonsense but I see nonsense in things that a lot of people call sense.

I did a lot of music in my life. Did Hardrock, Metal, Psychedelic-Rock, Swing, Jazz, Latin, Dance Music, modern and so called post-modern classic, even playback gigs and did some little film scores also. Everything that either brought some money in the pocket or gave some fun.

I have not studied music, either the conservatories did not want me or, in the other case, I didn't wanted them.
The Zwakkus project was for a long time a kind of discharge of frustration or a valve to let "it" simply flow, without caring about what some client or bandleader will think about. 
It then took me a little time to realize that this project is really unique and true to me and that I can't be this free anywhere. So I'm giving more energy into it and I'm having really fun with it. Knowing that this can't be everyones style, I am extremely grateful for everyone who can get involved!
Also I am very thankful for finding so much really authentic, inspiring and original stuff here on SC.

Trying to light a fire in you, I extinguished myself.
