A peaceful mind is able to cope with all situations without becoming disturbed and agitated. It calmly accepts the resolution of circumstances and, with this patience acquires the power to deal with all situations.

Parul works as an IT Consultant, and has been practising Raja Yoga meditation for over 35 years. She co-ordinates the Brahma Kumaris' activities in Finchley and Edinburgh where she has recently moved.

Only a powerful soul can offer love. Only a powerful soul can afford to be humble. If we are weak, then we become selfish. If we are empty, we take, but if we are full, we automatically give to all.

In her professional life Roos has worked in Health Care settings, especially in maternity nursing, for the last 20 years of her professional life.

She has studied and volunteered with Brahma Kumaris for the last 40 years and is still doing so. All she learned there was applied in her work as well.

Whenever your mind is full of stressful thoughts, rather than letting it all stew, let it go.  Imagine your stressful thoughts as balloons. Watch all the balloons just  float away, becoming smaller and smaller until they're out of sight and out of your mind.

Urvashi has been with the Brahma Kumaris from the age of 23. Her destiny led her to be an integral part of the International Coordinating office of the Brahma Kumaris in London. She believes her key to success is teamwork and bringing harmony within everything that she does. She enjoys teaching Raja Yoga Meditation and using practical examples when teaching and sharing.

David is a retired community dentist he has been a meditator for around 45 years and runs regular workshops on personal development. David is based in Leeds where he co-ordinates the activities of the Brahma Kumaris in the North of England. His down to earth, practical and light-hearted approach to spiritual topics make him an accessible and interesting speaker.

Life is full of complications and as soon as you finish one the next comes along.  The feeling of being trapped in a spider’s web is often the case for many.  We came here to be free and yet we seem to have become entangled.

Mina discovered Raja Yoga meditation in 1998. Her meditation practice has allowed her to tap into the powerful inner self and to cultivate inherent powers and values to reach their unique potential. Mina is a driving school instructor who is also a resident of the Global Retreat Centre in Oxford.

Gitte is the National Coordinator of Brahma Kumaris in Finland and she has practiced yoga for more than 20 years. She has a background in business and marketing. On the spiritual path she values kindness and happiness which creates an atmosphere of easy learning for everyone.
