En materia internacional, analiza la aceptación de Lula para postularse a las presidenciales brasileñas de 2026, la condena al ex presidente Álvaro Uribe a 12 años por manipulación judicial y vínculos paramilitares y celebra la victoria del chavismo en Venezuela en 300 de 335 alcaldías, donde Nicolás Maduro impulsa milicias campesinas. En Uruguay, el POR cuestiona que su propuesta de apoyo a Brasil frente a EE.UU. no se haya debatido en el plenario del FA, aunque se remitió a la Mesa Política. Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities, Mmapaseka Steve Letsike, has called on young people to embrace the rich cultural diversity of BRICS and recognise its role in shaping a more inclusive global order. Addressing the 2025 BRICS Summer School in Johannesburg, on Monday ,Letsike noted that from its founding, BRICS, which has expanded to include eleven member states - Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Iran, has sought to rebalance the world order, moving away from unipolar dominance and towards a more equitable system of governance. The key priorities identified include global health cooperation, trade and finance, climate change, artificial intelligence governance, peace and security, and institutional development.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on BRICS nations to take the lead in strengthening multilateralism and reshaping global trade to better serve developing economies. The extraordinary meeting was held to discuss current global geopolitical and economic issues that affect the state of the world and its multilateral system. President Ramaphosa also urged BRICS to strengthen trade partnerships with Africa, Asia, the Gulf, the Americans and Europe while supporting reform of multilateral institutions such as the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations (UN). On the global stage, President Ramaphosa called for urgent reform of the United Nations to ensure it is “inclusive, representative and fit for purpose,” adding that BRICS should play a critical role in strengthening the multilateral system. Turning to ongoing conflicts, the President reiterated South Africa’s backing for peace efforts in Gaza. He also announced that under South Africa’s G20 Presidency, the country had launched an Extraordinary Committee of Independent Experts on Global Wealth Inequality, chaired by Nobel Laureate Professor Joseph Stiglitz

The BRICS Leaders’ Summit  chaired by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva  of the Federative Republic of Brazil met on 6 and 7 July 2025  in Rio de Janeiro under the theme "Strengthening Global South Cooperation for a More Inclusive and Sustainable Governance". Today’s engagement will focus on the challenges faced by the international community and on the role of BRICS  in advancing dialogue, cooperation, and constructive responses.
