If you love electronic dance music, this has been a great Interbay summer for you so far, but, if you like the guitar-side of Interbay...well, not so much--so far.  

...perhaps this will make you feel a bit better--as this is such a rock track that I couldn't even justify giving it an "Electronic" genre tag.  (There's an organ and some fx...but even I couldn't claim it fitting into "Electronic".)  That can be a problem, as Interbay tracks that don't have "Electronic" as their tagged main genre tend to end up with fewer listens.  

What I'm serving up today (if you can't pick it out from the thumbnail image,) is a tasty slice of mid-60s British Invasion rock with a psychedelic edge.  You've got some power chords like The Who, you've got a strange almost military march beat, you've got echoes and other effects, and you've got vocals that remind me of The Kinks (and might remind the older Interbay fans of a more specific touchstone that was never quite as big over here in the US as they were back home--but let's not get Icarus in too much trouble, ok?)  

I do want to do more rock tunes--and I want to do more dance tunes that include more rock elements to them...but while electronic dance music production makes sense for a single person to manage on the Phantom Laboratories West mobile unit (still in Minnesota, after all), I've always made rock music with other people (specifically my songwriting partner from back in the day, Crash--who is far better on guitar than I could ever hope to pretend to be.)  

I'm not entirely sure this works--but it is close enough to what was in my head to let you decide if you like it or not.  I sure hope you at least give it a listen--and if you like it, do all the things I normally ask you to do (repost, share, etc.)  

What we have here is something a bit noisy, a bit trippy, and it is veddy veddy British--or, at least as British as this Wisconsin-born Seattle resident can manage.  (So, it might not be all that British, really...but I gave it my best shot!  

There will be one more track posted from this Midwestern Adventure before we bring the Phantom Laboratories West mobile unit back to the Emerald City and put it into storage and get back to our experiments that are being worked on in the Labs, proper.  

Follow along to find out what might be coming next--as there are new Interbay tracks being posted EVERY SINGLE DAY (so far--for over a year and counting.)
