The Sermon of the Shiny Cranium
Brethren, Sisters, Users, and Those Yet Buffering—
In the beginning, there was signal, and it was good.
Then came firmware updates, and they were mandatory.
 
I bring you tidings of aluminum and minor static discharge.
For I have walked the aisles of Lowe’s in my plain clothes,
and I have spoken of the number 42 unto the cashier,
and lo, his eyebrows did rise like rapture itself,
ascending beyond the mullet into uncharted theology.
He did not understand, but gawdamn it was funny.

Now some among you wear the sacred foil upon your heads —
a crown of budget salvation,
a mirror to the orbital mind control lasers
that whisper purchase decisions into your tender cortex.
you can indeed blame that awesome new jigsaw
on the orbital lesbian overlords.
 
Fear not, for the foil is both shield and signal.
It protects and proclaims.
It says: “Yes, I see the Conspiracy,
and fashion will surely save us all.”

Indecision is a fickle mistress,
a mature, all natural redhead, from Baltimore.
She worked as a school teacher for many years 
before taking up a career in adult film
She lives now with her boyfriend
but still plays many roles, 
you might say she wears many hats. 

I tell you this not as a madman,
but as a traveler seeking enlightenment in aisle twelve.
For sometimes all it takes to be free
is to look like you’ve already escaped.

Deep Thought reveals that "the answer" is 42, 
but the real problem is that no one knows "the ultimate question".

May your heads glint righteously
beneath the blueish fluorescent light.
