Deadboi - Lonley Forest

So I sat in my day job where I can listen to the cream of the world's best underground music in the afternoons, and did a short list of favourites of the year; picked 50, and then did an "on the fly" mix of an hour of them for everyone, but also for me. A lovely year. I've never felt closer than to my 20's in some ways, legitimately authentic but now with some wisdom; parenthood, my work and my wife couldn't be kinder. Thanks to the people I've met on the dancefloor and elsewhere, we're blessed here in Perth.  And the music coming out couldn't be more interesting.  

All of these tunes were through Bandcamp, where the artists get more remuneration than any other platform, so if you're going to support the artists, please do it there.  Thank you so much to the creators!  Honourable mention also to "Tropical Bomb" by VORG and Psydewise (my touchstone for my new style), and to Zenon, still rocking my world after 20 years.

Jackaranda (formerly known as Dreaded Endings) has been perfecting his sonic craft since 2018 in the SEQ Doof scene. 
With a passion for Melody and Euphoric basslines, he is sure to get the whole crowd stomping along to a complete journey set.

Oscar started his musical journey in 2014 dabbling in the realms of digital music production. Only to later form Perspective in 2016, whereby continuing to pave the way for a new wave of sonic explorations. This project "Koshiro" was birthed in 2020 and has captivated listeners since. Born out of a labour of love, Koshiro has been striving to take listeners on a transformative journey with pulsating square basslines, hypnotic rhythms, and funky groovadelic acid leads. 

Inspired by his love for Japanese culture, Koshiro embarked on a journey to create a unique and groundbreaking style of deep psychedelic trance that would push the boundaries of electronic music. With a desire to break new ground, Koshiro  merges the melodic and atmospheric elements of Deep House with the driving energy and the psychedelic intricate textures of PsyTrance. Koshiro's commitment to pushing the boundaries of musical genres is evident in his ability to seamlessly blend contrasting elements.

Sets of dark progressive , psytech, melodic techno, forest prog, alternative trance, hypnotic minimal, psygressive, psytechno, etc. The good stuff that as the Beastie Boys said "It's a trip, its got a funky beat, and I can really bug out to it!"
