Island Head is the creation of drummer, singer, songwriter, producer Billy Messinetti. A passion for reggae and love for musicians interacting and jamming are why Island Head was created. 

While Island Head’s album “Punky Reggae Party” is an all instrumental album mostly covering songs written by Bob Marley, their new music are vocal tunes of original music. 

Their first vocal release is “Blue Butterfly” written by Billy dedicated to the memory of his son Kyle. Kyle died of fentanyl poisoning at the age of 26. In 2023, the Kyle T. Messinetti Foundation was created. You will hear more about it, very soon!

Billy put together an allstar band for the album, “Punky Reggae Party”. The two guitarists are legendary reggae players.

Reminds others of what it really is and what is still possible. Dermot Hussey said; "Island Head musicians, tastefully demonstrate that a fresh perspective can still be brought to Bob Marley music".
