Our fourth release follows the ebb and flow of a night out in a strange mood. For starters, guided by the concerned voice of Query D, we turn a few corners and go to the local 24h store to pick up some Night Shop Gold, aka the best midnight snack, a samosa. After that we do some Doomstrolling to a tune that invites us to indulge in the night’s pleasures, absently grinning through it’s darkest hours. When the sun comes up again, The Sleepless rounds out the EP for all the insomniacs out there, with some reflections on the dangers of sleep deprivation set to a melancholy beat.

For doing this mix, I took an example from Walrus' earlier FPM radio show and decided to focus on playing unreleased music by friends and myself. There's some people I know well who contributed tracks, some who reached out from way further to share their music. I tried to vary the pace a bit more than what I usually do playing vinyl. The only previously released track here is Sense of Danger by Presence. A track that marked 2022 deeply for me. Shara Nelson's incredible vocal performance on it has become one of my favorite tearjerkers of all time. ● Camiflage is a dj/producer from Belgium. He runs the label Snaretrade which has already released some 12’inch EP’s worldwide. He is part of a dj collective called Planet based in Brussels, which has a monthly residence on Kiosk Radio. He is originally from Antwerp. As a job he works as a cell animator, drawing frame per frame animation for feature and short films.

When Overlap records made their pick along the tracks I sent over them,
I was pleasantly surprised. It’s all stuff that I’d be a bit self-conscious about putting out myself because it’s quite.. Sentimental? Now that Alejandro picked these out I can hide behind his choice, and discretely be happy they are shared with the world. I made these navigating through lockdown, when in my case the seclusion often brought a feeling of peace and belonging.
Most of these were made when I was feeling in love, I hope they’ll spread out and reach the ears of many lovers.

Musically shaped between a teenage love for hip-hop and the many sundown to sunrises spent dancing at Brussels’ sweatiest underground parties, Camiflage is convinced that in order to make you dance, tracks should squeak, bounce, roll, clap, and conjure a grin on your face. 

He's been running Snaretrade Records since 2022, can be found sliding around town with the Planet crew and getting stuck in the home studio when possible.
