Drugs Aren't Doing It Anymore

CASIO-CORE / lo-fi / micromusic composed in 08.2015. Made entirely with CASIO SA-47 toy-keyboard. 
No sequencers used. All parts and fragments have been played live, as usual. 
Generally - no additional sound-effects. Usually I use raw original sound of toy-keyboards (You can spot something here but it's negligible minority, like some echoes sometimes, or something).

FIREC022 Modula - The 780's Chronicles

The only toy used - CASIO CT-670 home-keyboard from 1992. 
But this time - also with a sequencer - ATARI 520ST with Cubase 2.1 (both from 80s).

I always wanted to have the CT-670 to see what it can do. Well, MANY interesting instruments + some synthesizer section: nice. 
Still, there's only 4 channels of MIDI and also usage of the MIDI itself it's highly unclear here (but possible to use nevertheless).

PSS-270: Utsuro-bune (MS-003 toy-keyboard)

Composed in 2019.
I made this song using as the only instruments' source a very low-tek toy-keyboard: MS-003 (also called Music Fairy, hehehe). 
It's an extremely cheap and extremely plastic machine (also in its sound :-P ). 
It is actually sooo low-tek, that it has no headphones output! Hence I had to sample sounds via microphone - later I used  MilkyTracker as a sequencer. 
Cannot play by hand this time, as the keyboard's clicks would be audible. But MilkyTracker does do the job perfectly. 

I recorded all the instruments + some loops, noise-gated them, normalized - and so on. 
The toy-keyboard has no bass (at least not for the user to play with), so I had to sample the lowest possible note of the guitar and later I used it here as the bass :-) ). 

Also - actually I always wanted to try this method of using toy-keyboards - to sample those lo-fi instruments and put them into some normal, modern sequencer.

2019 - my Youtube profile has been hacked and I cannot access it any more but Google/Youtube doesn't give a sh*t about it and indeed the simply SUPPORT the hacker/thief. It's *disgusting*.

The project has been established in 2005 to play lo-fi / casio-core / micromusic stuff. 

The music initially was supposed to be played only on YAMAHA PSS-270 keyboard - a small toy for children.


Finally I decided to use as many toy-keyboards as possible. For now I have toys such as:

I don't use any sequencers. I play everything "from hand" and mix it on COOL EDIT Pro. I treasure the original totally plastic and synthetic sound of the toys, so I almost don't add any post-production effects; rarely I add some reverb/delay but you can state it's their original sound. But I permit, I will use some sound-modifications in future, when I get bored with still the same instruments. :)


My music is inspired by steam-punk, small old mechanical devices, horror-cabaret/horror-circus atmosphere, Doctor Who mood, and classic-electronica musicians, like Jean-Michel
Jarre, Marek Bilinski, Vangelis, Andrzej Szymalski, Kraftwerk, Roman Wiercinski (Cyborg)...
