got a lil experimental with this one. decided on using the celesta to represent Abby. decided on a 5/4 time signature. something about the brief touch on Abby's past stuck with me, and how her kindness permeated the whole exchange between her, Christine, and Pippa watching Stef. then the Grandmother strings.

A short through-composed piece in 5/4. It is rather dissonant and eschews traditional harmonies and concepts of tonality. Its theme can be heard in inversion, retrograde and retrograde inversion, as well as in augmentation and diminution.

Snowflakes

One of those pieces that teaches you how to listen differently. Rothko Chapel (1971) isn’t about melody or rhythm — it’s about space, color, and presence. Feldman wrote it for choir, soprano and alto soloists, viola, celesta, and percussion, to inhabit the Houston chapel where Rothko’s paintings surround you like a weightless wall. It’s fragile, slow, almost disappearing… but it stays with you long after the sound fades.

This is a live performance I had the privilege to conduct — captured in its raw, ephemeral beauty.

Space-themed lullaby. Float at the heart of the universe, near the golden rings of Saturn. The sounds are muffled, stretched like threads of starlight. The celesta shimmers softly, the violins glide with lightness. Here, time stands still. Only the slow motion of the planets remains — a lullaby whispered in a dream of stars.

Berceuse sur le thème de l’espace. Flotte au cœur de l’univers, tout près des anneaux dorés de Saturne. Les sons sont étouffés, étirés comme des filaments d’étoiles. Le celesta scintille doucement, les violons glissent avec légèreté. Ici, le temps s'arrête. Il ne reste que le lent mouvement des planètes — une berceuse murmurée dans un rêve d'étoiles.

Fairy-themed lullaby. "As night falls, the sleep fairy approaches with quiet, delicate steps.
She whispers light melodies, carried by the breath of the piano blended with the celesta.
Her gentle voice soothes the mind, while the harp weaves threads of dreams and the violins wrap everything in a calming veil. Everything turns quiet. Everything turns tender. And sleep settles in, gently."

Berceuse sur le thème des fées. "Quand la nuit tombe, la fée du sommeil s’approche à pas feutrés. Elle chuchote des mélodies légères, portées par le souffle du piano mêlé au celesta. Sa voix douce berce l’esprit, pendant que la harpe tisse des fils de rêve et que les violons enveloppent le tout d’un voile apaisant. Tout devient calme. Tout devient tendre. Et le sommeil s’installe, en douceur."

Nature-themed lullaby. "Lying under a clear sky, eyes half-closed, the body gently rocked by the warmth of a sunbeam...The flute rises softly, as light as a summer breeze. The harp punctuates each melody like little bursts of light, while the violins, ever so gently, wrap the moment in peaceful stillness. A luminous pause — a musical sunbath to drift off to sleep with tenderness."

Berceuse sur le thème de la nature. "Allongé sous un ciel clair, les yeux mi-clos, le corps bercé par la chaleur d’un rayon de soleil…la flûte s’élève doucement, légère comme une brise d’été. La harpe ponctue chaque mélodie comme de petits éclats de lumière, tandis que les violons, tout en douceur, enveloppent l’instant d’une paix tranquille. Une parenthèse lumineuse, un bain de soleil musical pour s’endormir tout en douceur."

I am a french composer working from my home studio.
I started to learn the piano when I was 6 years old, at an age where my curiosity lead me slowly to explore and understand the chords, what I was playing, how to change a melody, how to transform a music sheet, and how to translate an emotion into notes. 28 years later, my skills have improved, and composing became a passion. Improving my skills and translating stories into music notes are a day-to-day obsession.
