The Canterbury District 6 bell striking competition was held on Saturday the 13th of May 2023 at St Mary's Church in Chislet. This was the Sturry ringers' winning piece. We rang a 240 of Grandsire Doubles - I was ringing the treble.

Rogate is a small village in the Rother Valley of West Sussex, situated on the A272 road between the towns of Midhurst and Petersfield. 

There is a fine ring of six bells, rung from the ground floor of the wooden tower. They were cast and installed in 1904 by John Taylor & Co of Loughborough, replacing a previous ring of five bells, which included at least three 17th century bells. The tenor weighs 8-1-21 and is tuned to A. In 2014, a sanctus bell was cast and hung for swing-chiming. Upon it are inscribed the names of fallen soldiers from the parish, who served in the first World War.

South Harting is a village in the Rother Valley of West Sussex, situated just north of the South Downs, between the towns of Midhurst and Petersfield.

There is a ring of six bells, rung from the ground floor of the tower, located at the chancel crossing. They were cast in 1782 by Chapman & Mears of Whitechapel, and most recently overhauled in 2011 by Nicholson Engineering of Bridport. The tenor weighs 12 cwt and is tuned to F#.

South Harting (St Mary & St Gabriel), West Sussex - Norwich Surprise Minor

Steep is a small village in Hampshire, at the bottom of Stoner Hill and on the outskirts of Petersfield. 

There is a ring of six bells in the wooden tower, often described as a typical 'Hampshire Shed'. The back five bells were cast by Robert Catlin of Holborn in 1745, and were augmented to six by the addition of a new treble by Mears & Stainbank of Whitechapel in 1940. The tenor weighs 6-0-13 and is tuned to B flat.

Steep (All Saints), Hampshire - Grandsire Doubles

Buriton is a village in Hampshire, just south of Petersfield and at the bottom of the South Downs. It lies close to the border with West Sussex.

There is a fine ring of six bells in the tower at St Mary's Church. Originally, a ring of five bells were cast and installed by Richard Phelps in 1715 after the tower was rebuilt. These bells were all subsequently recast by various founders, and in 1935 a treble was added, the cast iron frame was built, and all the bells were rehung by John Taylor & Co. The tenor weighs 8-2-6 and is tuned to G.
