Cantorial student Jeremy Sipe invites you to a deeply moving and musically rich podcast, starting with a contemplative and meditative melody that gradually builds in intensity. Opening with a Chanukkah image and story, this podcast is perfect for a Chanukkah release, capturing the spirit of the holiday. The first melody, a beautiful Carlebach piece, is particularly noteworthy and will be discussed further. 

Jeremy shares a poignant narrative about the devastating impact of war on the innocence of children, leading into his sensitive and powerful rendition of "Etzleinu haGan." This segment could stand alone as a post, with Jeremy's narration setting the emotional tone for the song. 

Additionally, Jeremy's collaborative setting of "Ana B’koach," co-written with Will and featuring vocals by classmate Alex Baker, is a highlight of the podcast. This piyut, traditionally sung before "L’cha Dodi," showcases the combined vocal talents of all three students and is Jeremy's best vocal performance. This piece would make an excellent stand-alone post in advance of Shabbat, offering listeners a profound and spiritual musical experience.

is the 9th album from Joel the Mole and David Nelson , known as Duo Treason.

This is the second track. It is lovingly dedicated to the memory of Dweezil (7/7/04-12/19/24), the wonderful cat who graced me with his whiles for 20 years.

Joel the Mole is a NY based composer , film-maker, and artist. He makes music for his own selfish delights, but hopes you enjoy it too.
Joel is compelled to make music of frequent change, so if you like a steady groove, you may not be so happy here. He collaborates nicely, usually with friends like the amazing Carlos Vivanco (Like Wow, Decibel, Andromeda Crash),
mega-bassist Keith Macksoud (Present),
David Bond Engelhard on benevolent battery, 
double bassist John Convertino, and sometimes with fellow Westchester Conservatory alumnus Matt Lamborn on guitars. 
Joel plays guitars, piano, keyboards, the "arachnid bass", and other toys. The music is often radicalized during his editing process.
