OMGG – Chase the Light (Live at Mile High Club, Denver)

This is a live nu-disco / Italo-inspired anthem from our Denver show at the Mile High Club – a night about breaking free from the dark and running straight into the light.

“Chase the Light” is an original OMGG song, creatively inspired by Giorgio Moroder’s legendary “Chase (Theme from Midnight Express)” and the mood of the film – but it is NOT a cover and does not reuse the original composition. It’s our own melodic motif, groove and structure, built as a modern club tribute.

Female lead vocal, four-on-the-floor kick, driving arpeggiated bass, 909 drums, Italo-style synths and big “hey!” crowd chants captured in a small, sweaty Denver club.

Had this idea for a while that Skaian Summoning, a song Toby composed during his Homestuck, would fit really well for DELTARUNE. If you haven't listened to it yet, give it a try. It's a bit messy and the mixing is a bit weird but I really like its composition. So, about the scene where this song would play; I had the idea that it'd play during a final chase scene in one of the later chapters (either 5 or 6), where Kris and Susie run through Hometown to get to the Shelter while the Roaring begins. They'd go between the Dark and Light worlds during the chase scene, and have to dodge attacks from Titans and their Spawn. For the instrumentation, I based it off of the Titan's themes from Chapter 4 and Skaian's Summoning original instruments.

We kicked things off with a private club gig in New York City, rolled the fire into Dallas, lit up Las Vegas and Denver… and now our neon tour bus is glowing in the desert again — because O-M-G-G has landed in Phoenix, Arizona. The tour keeps pushing west toward the Pacific, one skyline at a time. 🚌🌃✨

Earlier this month we also celebrated:

Even while touring the U.S.A., our hearts are at home. We’re honoring the courage, stories, and blue-and-white spirit that shaped us — and some of that emotion is already woven into our new songs from the road.

This page features the music of Quartertuned, owner and operator of the On The Track, a film music education channel on YouTube. Specializes in scoring for film, television, video games, theme parks, etc.

I'm a French individual, born in 1970, and I vividly remember the advent of personal computer-based music production, ushered in by the first affordable digital keyboards and samplers. Music, and especially creating it with machines, is my enduring passion, though it remains a cherished hobby. My aspiration is to compose for modern dance companies, an endeavor I find incredibly fulfilling.

I'm fascinated by how technology enables us to craft intricate musical pieces and master music theory with greater ease. Throughout my life, music has been a steadfast companion during challenging times. My ultimate goal is to paint "emotional landscapes" using sounds and rhythms, evoking feelings and imagery through my compositions.
