This song is part of a challenge I created for the members of https://synthesis.audio. 

The prompt of the challenge was to write an ambient song inspired by an early childhood memory in only 3 hours. Each sound of the song is made based off of a different element of the memory. This is an exercise in creating for the sake of creating.

My memory as depicted here is one of my earliest. It's just a small snippet in time. I remember being home alone with my mom and sitting on the floor doing a Dinosaur puzzle with huge pieces. I can remember her reading in the background, and feeling the warmth of her presence behind me. I can also vividly remember a sunbeam coming through the window illuminating dust bunnies in the air. I did my best to make a full song out of this small snippet of memory.

Northern Sky is a Detroit/London-based collaborative formed in 2021, crafting ethereal music that blends dreamy soundscapes with cinematic depth. Their music strikes a delicate balance between melody, emotion, and magic, influenced by timeless artists like Nick Drake and Norah Jones, as well as modern acts such as Beach House and The National.

At the heart of Northern Sky is Rose White, whose voice, like a soft breeze at twilight, guides the band’s sound with transcendent beauty. A Shout Out of Gratitude to everyone sharing commenting and liking our Track Ava's Song: Star Born Child. She succumbed to her injuries in a accident involving a distracted driver. Some of her organs were then donated.She was a really special child that left this world much too soon. She is still with US in spirit and would have loved her song!
