a new start

this is a piece I composed for the "2HDTM" event. the theme is a song inspired by the pharaoh. in this song, i used the egyptian scale (C-D-Eb-F#-G-Ab-B-C) and aimed to create a sound reminiscent of a game stage from the sega mega drive/genesis.

the sounds i'm using for this piece are from chipsynth MD by plogue.

架空のゲームのBGMです。

様々な職業のキャラクター4人でパーティーを組んで武器や魔法で敵を倒しつつ、ジャンプで障害物や迷路を乗り越え、トラップや謎を解きつつ各シナリオクリアを目指すゲームです多分。

架空のX1turbo移植版なのでFMステレオ6ch+PSG3chで構成されているが架空のオリジナルはPC-8801mkIISR版なのであくまでも主要パートはFM3chで鳴らせる構成になっているらしい。

i was inspired by yuzo koshiro’s bare knuckle/streets of rage soundtracks. he has been one of my main inspirations.

the sounds i’m using are plogue's chipsynth MD and other instruments processed with inphonik’s pcm2612 effect. i aimed to replicate the sega mega drive sounds as close as possible.
