Chomp! Chomp! is back with second release “Island Rendezvous” featuring Chris Muñoz as his first mini LP under the label. This dynamic all original 5 tracks mini album comes from years of hard work and devotion as a musician, DJ, composer and producer. He is now ready to share some of the yield of his years of dedication and joyfully present his new sonic perceptions.

A long-time New Yorker by way of Houston, Chris Muñoz was part of the downtown disco revival scene in mid-2000s. From being a tour member of The Rapture to DJing at the infamous Passerby and releasing music on Golf Channel Recordings, his Heroes of the Galleon Trade moniker saw support from DJs like Giles Peterson, Andrew Weatherall and DJ Harvey. In the years since he’s gone further down the studio rabbit hole, doing remixes for Spike and Canyons, appearing on Harvey’s Pikes compilation, and collaborating with Eric Duncan. Although it’s been a few years since his last release, Chris’ record for Chomp! Chomp! showcases his talent as a multi- instrumentalist with dynamic tastes in sound.

The record is largely inspired by the beauty and mystery of Hawaii, it starts with “Selsie’s Garden,” an experimentally structured soundscape inspired by a beloved venue in Hawaii. Musically guided by the soft tinges of wind chimes the song is tuned to the Hawaiian pentatonic scale - a seven note scale set to in a defined pattern. The track flows unconventionally mixing Hawaiian slide guitar with electronic sequences for an ambient, relaxed sound bath of sultry sounds. On the track “Island Rendezvous,” wavy, synth lines are intertwined with modern classical piano. Here trippy background vocals underline sultry lead vocals reminiscent of the ethereal pleasures associated with paradise.

The flip side starts with “Big Sam,”a banging, big room dance track, defined by a jacking syncopated bass line, heavy hitting drums, sophisticated orchestral harmonies and an unexpected song ending guitar solo.“Sexican Discoteque” is inspired by late ‘60’s Chicha Libre movement - a psychedelic mixture of latin rhythms, surf, and pop inspired by Peruvian music and featuring a sprinkling of electronic cumbia, rock and sea inspired visions. The dynamic mini LP ends with the deeply personal “Maria Inez,” a song named after Muñoz’s late mother. The emotional ambient track is defined by in depth sequences and underlying harmonies accompanied by hauntingly beautiful Spanish style guitar.

Introducing the latest EP from Margee, the brainchild of French producer Alexandre Gimard. Margee's sound is characterized by its infectious groovy baselines, ethereal floating pads, and captivating swingy rhythms. Fueled by a diverse array of genres and cultures, he constantly seeks the groove in his sets, drawing inspiration from the latest discoveries and timeless classics alike.

A dynamic blend of two distinctive tracks. "Maanside" weaves a dreamy, melancholic narrative, harmonizing layers of pads and a subby bass line into a sharp, minimalistic groove. Enhanced by rhythmic and high-pitched vocal samples, the track elevates intensity, revealing an additional dimension that captivates the senses. On the other hand, "Tartiflux" propels listeners into a progressive and groovy yet delightfully downtempo journey, intertwining deep rolling bass, sizzling pads, and tantalizingly distorted guitar sections.

We’re excited to present you Yurk’s First Vinyl album on Chomp! Chomp! This six-track all original music by Yurk, is diverse and rhythm heavy across the electronic genres. Kicking off the album with “Delay Tech,” this 90s-inspired acidic house track is festival-ready with big energy. Then we dive into “Bustin’” - a bouncy Tech House with punchy and multiform tones. Follow by “Sin Control,” warm Jazzy House grooves accompanied by delayed filled Trumpet theme. On the B side, “Cosita” - a hard-hitting Detroit-inspired dub techno composition that treks into 90s territory. Follow by “El Nuevo Jazz”, a playful and dynamic track which combines punchy percussive electro breaks with a high-spirited bassline. To conclude the album - “Satori,” takes us on a spaced-out acid house journey, inspired by the Japanese Buddhist term for awakening, offering a psychedelic and uplifting finale.

Yurk is a dynamic producer and DJ from Puerto Rico, now making waves in Brooklyn's music scene. Blending Latin rhythms with global electronic beats, he has released music with local labels like Mechanical in Queens, NY. As the head of Organized Disorder, Yurk hosts a biweekly radio show, along with an all vinyl monthly Saoco! Party focused on Caribbean and outernational music.

Tartiflux is a versatile mini-LP that weaves together many of Margee’s musical influences—downtempo grooves, 90s disco beats, organic house, and acid breaks—into a unique, eclectic sound. Organic textures guide the overall tone, ensuring that the groove remains at the heart of every track.

On the A side, the title track "Tartiflux" takes listeners on a progressive, groovy, and downtempo journey with deep bass, sizzling pads, and distorted guitar sections. It features a remix by NYC legend Justin Strauss, who adds a punchy, rhythmic flair alongside additional productions by W. Andrew Raposo of Midnight Magic.

The B side presents a dynamic lineup, starting with "Help Myself," a vocal disco-house anthem with an energetic rhythm, crisp drums, and punchy vocal chops. "Maanside" follows, offering a dreamy and melancholic experience with minimalistic grooves. The EP concludes with "Poomee," the darkest track featuring breakbeats, deep synths, and an engaging sonic journey through acid patterns and robust basslines.
