Crate-digging is fun! This is a mix I've done, originally planned for, uh, February, where I've made a mix of UK techno (loosely defined), which covers all angles, which means that the mix starts off pretty stripped-down and minimal, then goes through some chunky modern acid house, then into some bass-heavy dub and jungle influenced techno that could only come from the UK, some more loopy hardgroove-style stuff, then steadily more banging and intense, right up to some classic London acid techno, modern industrial techno from Perc and, finally, my own extremely uncompromising track ‘Crossbones’!

In the late ‘90s, it’s very rare that you wouldn’t find me record shopping at 9-12 St. Annes Court. I would make a pilgrimage there every week and hope to pick up all the current anthems that were getting dropped at Escape From Samsara and Pendragon. If I was lucky, I would hear a sneak peak of the latest banger being written in the adjacent studio.
The in-house music produced there is without doubt my favourite of the UK scene at the time - the Acid Trance being pumped out by Choci and his various labels really epitomised the underground clubbing scene in London and was the soundtrack to the best days of my life...
Researching, sourcing, compiling and sequencing this mix has been a real labour of love for me and I hope you can hear that passion and admiration I have for the music come through in the mix.

I'm a DJ and producer that started spinning records back in 1998. I had the best days of my life in the London club scene at events such as Escape From Samsara, Pendragon, Trancentral and Frantic.
Over the years I have played alongside Lab4, Andy Farley, Mark EG, Chris Liberator, Sterling Moss, Beamish, Jace, Tara Reynolds, Ephexis and Alek Száhala. 
I also co-ran an event called Synthetic at Club 414 in Brixton during the early '00's.

Long time free party DJ back in the game after a long time away.
Made a comeback in 2023 to play some local events, then discovered internet radio.

Smoggy has been playing a weekly residency on Dance Freex Radio since November 2023, also played for Acid Assault, and Mark Neenan's Filthcast series on Fnoob Techno.
Aggie Acidline & Bassline Ben coined the nickname 'Acid Smog' after his return to the 303 fold and featuring on their 'Acid Scum' monthly show with a hard and acid techno set.

Most recently joined the 'Techno Two'sday' family as their newest resident DJ.

Teknocracy are London & Horsham-based producers Aubrey King, Adam Lincoln and the mysterious Techno Fluffer. F.O.L. is Adam’s industrial / electro / dark ambient solo project. They founded the Pie Factory Productions label in 2012, dropping three bonkers 12”s (including a various artists release with underground veterans Jerome Hill and The Dexorcist), plus numerous digital releases and remixes. At  the  age  of  12,  Jack  Majic  first  picked  up  a  guitar  and  began  his  musical  journey  –  he  quickly  transitioned  into  dance  music,  through  the  form  of  dubstep  and  drum  &  bass.  It  was  this  discovery  that  ignited  the  realisation  that  mixing  and  music  production  is  something  he  is  destined  to  do.  After  exploring  the  musical  landscape  and  discovering  techno,  he  hasn’t  looked  back  since.  

Today,  Jack  can  be  found  playing  his  own  breed  of  London  techno  in  various  locations,  for  the  infamous  Stinky  Pink,  Hackney  Sounds,  and  many  of  their  peers.  He  has  had  the  honour  of  playing  alongside  D.A.V.E  The  Drummer,  Geezer,  Chris  Liberator,  Mark  EG,  Lawrie  Immersion  and  pretty  much  anyone  worth  their  salt  associated  with  the  sound.  

With  every  passing  day,  Jack  increases  his  already  impressive  knowledge  on  every  form  of  techno.  Putting  his  education  to  practise,  he  continues  to  impress  crowds  across  the  UK  and  Europe,  proving  himself  to  be  one  of  the  stand-out  cases  of  young  blood  within  the  scene.  

Moving  forward,  he  is  turning  his  gaze  towards  production.  By  combining  tried  and  tested  methods  with  modern  techniques,  Jack  crafts  his  own  unique  sound  of  London techno.  His  motivation?  To  leave  a  mark  on  the  music  that  inspired  him  to  be  a  part  of  something  bigger.

He has played several times at Ministry of Sound (CLR / The Gallery / Saturday Sessions / Club Shelter), Pacha London, Egg, Basing House, Scala, and River Thames boat parties where his underground, bass driven techno, minimal and tech house beats tore up the dance floors of England’s capital city. He has played extensively in Colombia and also played in Germany and Italy.
Nick had already played his first gig at Ministry of Sound when he won the globally respected and renowned DJ mix competition, IDJ Magazine’s (International DJ Magazine) prestigious “Raw Talent Competition”. Nick’s winning mix received amazing reviews from some of the world’s top DJ’s, including Jody Wisternoff, Riva Starr and Deepgroove.
He hosts one of the most respected underground techno radio shows around, The Future Underground Show. The show can now be heard on Digitally Imported's Techno Channel every third Friday of the month at www.di.fm/techno and was previously on Future Radio - www.futureradio.co.uk -107.8 FM. The shows are made available to listen again and download and see thousands of plays and downloads each month. Nick mixes on the show and has interviews and guest mixes from the biggest names in global techno.
