Midway through, the mix peaks with tracks like Marco Lys & Piero Pirupa’s "I Got To Move" and the driving force of Stacy Kidd and Fast Eddie's "Streets," pushing the tempo and energy to the forefront. The journey takes a deeper, more introspective turn with Ian Pooley's deep dub of youANDme's "PPPPP," creating a moment of reflection before ramping up again with the electrifying remix of "House" by Solomun & London Grammar.

As the set nears its climax, DJ Bware skillfully introduces the nostalgic yet fresh sounds of Alden Tyrell and Serge's remix of John Daly's "Two Days," leading into the soulful euphoria of Aretha Franklin's "I Say A Little Prayer" (ATSOU Edit). The mix then drives towards its conclusion with the relentless groove of Avision's "Hold No Groove" and the classic resonance of 51 Days' "Tracktion."

Smallville regular Christopher Rau delivers his fourth long player and third for the label, ‘Better Times’, this October, comprising eight originals for the German artist.
Since 2008, Christopher Rau has been delivering his raw, machine driven twist on house and techno, regularly on Smallville, Giegling, Mule Musiq, Pampa and many others. Garnering a reputation as one of the finest purveyors of underground, gritty dancefloor focused jams.
Across the eight track project, Rau delivers a range of House styles traversing through jazzy to jacking, deep and more. Opener ‘Better Times’ sets the tone with floating keys, a bouncy bass groove and crisp drums before ‘On The Dancefloor’ utilises airy chords, organ tones and a saturated rhythm section. Next up is the ‘Still Working Mix’, a fresh interpretation of Rau’s classic ‘Ne Travaillez Jamais’, taking the essence of the original and twisting it into a more loop led, choppy version. ‘Shibboleth’ then leans into deeper house realms via an arpeggio bass hook, slowly unfurling pads and dubby chord flutters.
Opening the C-Side, ‘Burning Snake’ embraces a classic deep house aesthetic with cinematic pads, bumby stab-led bass hits and a drum machine workout. Next up Rau teams up with marimba and vibraphonist Taiko Saito for ‘Thank You’ fusing Christopher’s raw percussive style and hazy keys with Saito’s dynamic live instrumentalism. ‘IGTF’ then strips things back to crunchy shuffled drums, a hypnotic vocal loop and bumpy bass line before ‘Evin’ concludes the release, again leaning into more classic house realms with a wandering bass line, shimmering key sequences and a heavily swung drum groove.

Klaus Benedek grew up in a small town near Vienna. His interest in electronic music began during the 90s techno hype. He spent hours watching video clips on MTV and viva and thus gaining knowledge about electronic music. In 2004, he began teaching himself to produce. Gathering his inspiration wherever he could, he began collecting 12" vinyl records the same year and 2 years later got his first dj-gigs. From 2008 till 2010 he was one of the resident DJs at the MNML Thursdays in the Camera Club. In 2012 he started with Alex Kolodziej the event-series Tellerbetrieb. Currently he finds most of his inspiration in Chicago House, Deep House, Disco and Breakbeat. After releases on labels like Petrol Dollar, Subversaal, rekooda, Soul Shift Music, Clean and Dirty Recordings and tanzbar, Klaus launched his own label forTunea in 2014.
