Ahoy! Naarm queer music identity and raconteur Alex Morris delivers another slam-dunk, chuggy, sexy and hypnotic dance set, Monday 4 November 2024 for The Love Boat: Episode 2! 

Let’s set the scene: The Love Boat was originally conceived as a pre-Atlantis Cruise circuit-style party in February 2024, held the evening before Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady set sail from Melbourne to Sydney. The journey followed an outrageously convoluted route, designed to deliver a leisurely four-night queer adventure on the high seas - complete with less risk of piracy, sea shanties, or the confiscation of contraband 

Unlike the cruise itself, The Love Boat delivered dirty, filthy techno alongside the lighter, high-energy, dance-focused house music that predominates on queer cruises. Naturally, when things get sultry on The Love Boat, we’re obliged to accommodate - and indeed encourage - ditching your speedos and fooling around! Safely and consensually, of course. Floaties and water wings available on request. And remember: be prepared to get wet!

Notwithstanding that the Resilient Lady has left Australian waters for now, we thought: why not throw the party again anyway?! The Love Boat was a fabulous idea in February and proved a smash (or should we say splash?) again in November. Episode 2 featured DJs @itsargonaut and @pseudo-ku, and with Alex Morris in the lineup, delivered a truly exceptional dance and party experience, showcasing some of Naarm’s finest EDM talent

Strappa is a Brazilian DJ and music producer specialized in Melodic House & Techno, Afro House and Progressive. 

He has been active in the electronic music scene, known for his captivating DJ mixes, mashups and originals tracks.

Strappa gained recognition after winning the Fly Wish's New Talents DJ Contest in 2020 and has since held a residency at Komplexo Tempo in São Paulo in the period of 2023-2024.

He has released several popular mixes, including "Fogo" and "Terra," which showcase his skill in blending melodic and techno elements. 

Strappa's work is accessible on platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube, where he continues to build a fan base with his innovative sound and engaging performances.

DJ Carlos Nascimento hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He’s been a denizen in New York City clubs and lounges for over ten years.

Carlos was awed by the musical soundscapes on Saturday nights at New York’s legendary Roxy while listening to DJ’s Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhoffer, Junior Vasquez, Manny Lehman to name a few. 
His early achievements brought him to spin at the Media Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom. For the past three years, Carlos has been the DJ for The Miracle House Summer Kick Off Party.

You may have heard his beats in New York French Connections Stores where he was the official DJ in residence. At G Lounge in Chelsea he is a regular guest DJ once a month.
Also 2010 he was honor to be part of the Destination Party at Pacha on Gay Pride NYC together with Tony Moran, Susan Morabito, Manny Lehman & Sean McMahon.
Played at Gay Days 2012 Orlando at the Main Pool Party.
