Rakai Sinclair was born in Newark , NJ and was influenced by Baltimore Club Music and Brick City Club Music(Jersey Club Music)..he didn't really know nothing about Jersey Club Music at the time.
As he grew up, Baltimore Club Music and Jersey Club was all over the city...definitely at schools but he didn't really know the difference between those two. Later on , in 2008..Rakai moved to NC. He hated that he had to move and still hates to live there. As time went on, he was STILL listening to Baltimore Club Music. But one day as he was listening to BCM , one of DJ King Tiger Z's ( @djkingtigerz) track was in the suggestions, so he clicked on it and liked what he heard. That's when he knew the difference between Jersey Club and Baltimore Club. So he searched it up on Youtube, Google, and etc..The DJ that he seen come up the most was DJ Jayhood ( @djjayhood973 ) and DJ Tameil. Listening to their styles made Rakai fall in love with Jersey Club Music. Rakai never knew what SoundCloud was until he heard more of Jayhood's tracks. As months went by, Rakai discovered other DJs/Producers and started to listen to them on SC. In 2011, Rakai decided that he wanted to join the club game, and that's when "Raz" was born....
