Mojo (Luc Evrard with KILUKRU)

The first song I have ever managed to complete thus far, Clavinet Cowboy is a musical homage to western troupes. Chock full of every royalty free western themed sound effect I could get my hands on, (along with a single TF2 engineer voice clip) This song weaves a tale of desperados, dust, and death. Furthermore the piece features guitar, trumpet and piano solos all written by me in addition to several adlibs and a handful of Voice lines that I recorded myself. If you are a more experienced musician with any advice on how to improve the atrocious quality of the mix, please do not hesitate to comment constructive criticisms.

The Thriller

A bit of 60s/70s inspired Gothic Horror. Imagine Mary Shelley and the gang, stoned out of their skulls, alternately telling and writing horror stories in a dark, haunted house by Lake Geneva. It is, of course, a dark and stormy night and there are strange things afoot. The Daffodils won't leave them alone, and there is something in the woodshed. Ken Russell is directing them.

All made with Arturia VST's, mainly the B3, Vocoder, Mellotron, CMI, Clavinet, Mini and Pigments. Mastered with Ozone, but pushed to the limit to give some extra retro.

Kraftkabel is the artist name of Philip I. Buckland. I am a musical scientist in a parallel universe living in a studio flat orbiting Jupiter. My keyboards are suspended in gravity nets, and my mixer is controlled by the power of the mind. My cosmic sequencing software masters through the power of emotion, and my keyboards are simultaneously both retro and new.
My music originates from the point of divergence of these universes - the mid-late 1980's, but is spliced by genre splicing interludes. I use a time machine and dimensional portal to get to work.

Main software: Ableton, Arturia Analog Pro, InSidious, random free stuff from the interweb and Dexed to program the DX7. Audacity. All played through Arturia Keylab and Keystep (which has a better arpreggiator).
Plus some guitars that I can't really play very well. And an mbira, tin whistle and an alien head-shaped ukulele.

I make music, I improvise stuff, I compose ideas.
