JIMMY: What do you mean I have nothing to apologize for?
JIMMY: Well, alright. Ha, Cleo, you're so nice, you know that, right?
JIMMY: But I suppose you'll have to...
JIMMY: ...Right.
JIMMY: A hundred percent.
JIMMY: Well, I won't stop you if their soul is what you need.
JIMMY: Just, be gentle, alright???
JIMMY: Alright, I'll be on my way now. See you in a little bit!!

Cleo (ZombieCleo) retains her role as Undyne, and the Scarlet Forest (based off of Double Life) takes the role of Waterfall. The Scarlet Forest is incredibly gory and bloody, with rivers of blood and tendrils in the ground and the trees, though still quite overgrown with life. It was specifically designed that way as a memorial to a certain individual.

In any case, Cleo is the main threat of the Scarlet Forest Arc, first being encountered, well, here (though they are alluded to by Jimmy and Scott in Snowy Tundra). As well as most certainly the most dangerous Lifer yet.

Cleo (ZombieCleo) takes Undyne's role as the main threat of the Scarlet Forest, as well as the commander and head of the Royal Guard (yeah it's still called that. The Canine Unit is (unintentionally) a nod to the dog armies they (cleo) tend to spawn).

This plays during the two Cleo "chase sequences", as well as in a certain mechanic in their boss fight. Those sequences are also where you'd learn there's a run button (though pressing X beforehand works just fine. I suppose it's better to take in the sights, though).

Cleo (ZombieCleo) is Undyne, which is to be expected. Especially since her boss motif is the exact same as in BTWB1. After hiding themselves away in the shadows, they finally confront you at the end of the Scarlet Forest. The specifics of their fight will be explained in the next track, for obvious reasons, but for now you'll get some dialogue.

The flaming firebrand with a heart of gold. Her soul swirls with rotten mold, but cleaning it is far from an impossible task.

CLEO: What's the matter? Can't move out of the way of everything?
CLEO: That's right! No more running away for you.

CLEO: You've got to face all of my projectiles head-on.

Cleo (ZombieCleo) is Undyne, which is to be expected. Especially since her boss motif is the exact same as in BTWB1. After hiding themselves away in the shadows, they finally confront you at the end of the Scarlet Forest. They don't really want to fight you, atleast not as much as Undyne does (well, as long as you're on pacifist. In neutral...it's a different story), mainly due to their own lack of confidence in their fighting skill. 

The soul changes being more akin to Undertale Yellow are more pronounced here, since this is just green soul mode +, despite it just being the blue soul. Cyan projectiles will move along with the soul (you can move the soul to dodge certain attacks along a 3x3 space). Lots of arson occurs in this fight, obviously, and despite what I said above, this fight's probably a tad harder than Undyne's (since the difficulty in BTWB is tuned quite upwards compared to Undertale), so you'll probably get more variations of the flaming, cyan-colored projectiles.

And thus concludes the Scarlet Forest arc! I can't believe we've made it this far already. Of course, four more main arcs remain...but we're just under halfway through Behind the World Border II. And of course, in the next arc, things will get quite...
Very, very ridiculous.

59. The Walking Death

Something big is approaching its conclusion. Just a little more time...

Alphabright is coming mid-to-late 2026, most likely, but I might wait until either Whitepine or Deltarune concludes to make it, so possibly even further down the line. 
I would actually cry if BTWB-Alphabright was the first ever completed continuous UT + DR AU to exist.
(Unlikely, but you never know!)
