"As a kid, my buddy Dennis and I would hang out of the windows of our apartment and scream the lyrics of this song as loud as we could, with our shit stereo cranked up as far as it would go. It was a fun time... just pure energy. We never had any complaints, but maybe the neighbors were just afraid. Anyway, I've always wanted to take a stab at this track. While stylistically it's super different than the original, I didn't see the point in trying to do the same thing T.S.O.L. did perfectly the first time around. So we took a turn around the corner and came up with this!"

Ryan Serene started his music career back in 2002 when he began writing and recording his own music. Born and raised near Chicago, Illinois, Ryan finds inspiration for his music through experiences in his personal life. Over the years Ryan has released multiple projects, “Shock Therapy” in 2012 and “The Perfect Mistake” in 2016, as well as a compilation album of previously released music titled “The Perfect Mistake: Buried Tapes” in 2022. In 2015, Ryan also released a series of singles titled “The Toast”, “Golden” and “Mama Told Me”.

Many of Ryan's songs have been featured on numerous Chicago and Milwaukee hip-hop blogs. Two of Ryan's songs on ”Shock Therapy" were featured on the "Coast 2 Coast Mixtape: The Indie Top 50 Vol. 178", with "Blame My Ex's" being featured as number 29, and "Make Room" being featured as number 30 on the mixtape.

Ryan Serene's latest album "The Tide", which includes his hit singles "Drip", "Bandit", "Longing", and "For the Record" was released in March 2024 and is available now on all streaming platforms. Ryan's newest singles "Watch Me Shake", "Illustrate", "One Hundred", "Smoke", "Glass Ceiling", "Doom Scroll", "Believe", and "In My Zone" were released in 2025.

Hartmut Kiss has been working as a DJ for over 30 years, having been a resident at Tiffany (1993-2000), then at Cult-Neukirchen (from 2000), Nachtcafe-Leipzig (15 years), Staupitzbad-Döbeln, and many others.
Through the artist agency "Dusted Decks," he expanded his sphere of influence to include virtually all of the region's renowned clubs.
Guest appearances at Boom Rave, Sputnik Springbreak, SMS, and numerous other festivals followed, confirming his almost magical connection with his audience.
His first releases under his own label (Homework Records) were followed by several EPs, remixes, and, to date, one album under Christian Fischer's music label "BRYZANT."
