This is a track from CODEWORK: a multimedia installation artwork by Mark Amerika and Chad Mossholder:

CODEWORK centers around two figures, an artificial intelligence known as the "Digital Thoughtographer," and a disembodied woman whose scripted voice-over telepathically communicates with this alien shadow figure. Amerika's painterly video style is synchronized with the 5.1 surround sounds which are made in collaboration with the sound artist Chad Mossholder and utilize the voice-over of Berlin actress Jutta Wolfert.

One of the leading collectives within Dublin ‘Codework’ have been making some incredible movements the past while with numerous stand-out events including, resident nights at Hangar and Sound House bringing a new sound to the city. Their most recent bookings Damiano Von Erckert and Harrison BDP was just the perfect example of what sound they’re trying to push.

We sat down with them on the Four Four Podcast to chat about the collectives early beginnings,  upcoming shows, what direction they see Dublin going next year & some quickfire questions for good measure.

Codework (Encrypted Mix) - from the '02 album Rhyme Weapon.  This is the 4th version I believe of this, going from a spooky original, to a metal track, to a club dub track, to this mix of many.  It always had some great styles of flowing in it and I often would switch the order of emcees for shits and giggles. Yes, this came out before Jay Z.

I wanted to credit this entire track to the magical music of The Circulating Light. 

I used the original ambient track we collaborated on and added louder vocals and a bit more sound effects to bring the music to another level. Song is named after and dedicated to this wonderful musician. Always kind and generous with your tracks--thank you for the msuic!

An original artist from Spring Valley, Ca. exploring music and lyrics, fighting the Devil's trap with Hard Rock, Rhyme Weapons and Rebel Rap.

Chad Mossholder is a sound artist working in art installations, film, music and video games.  His critically acclaimed and experimental electronic music project “Twine” has performed all over the world and has released six full length albums as well as numerous mini-albums, and EP’s on such labels as Hefty Records (Chicago), Bip-Hop Records (Marseille France) and Ghostly Records (Ann Arbor). His live audio/visual performances have attracted audiences in Europe, Japan and North America.

Chad’s current position as the Senior Sound Designer and Music Composer at Sony Online Entertainment has lead him to compose electronic/orchestral music for the highly successful game DC Universe Online (Play Station 3, PC).  Chad has also written music and designed sound for Xbox, PSP and iPhone games with titles including Star Wars Galaxies, Matrix Online, Ever Quest, Ever Quest II, Night Caster, Immobilite and Planet Side.

A mix of mermaid, shape-shifter, and siren, the Rhine Maidens were water-dwelling creatures who lured sailors to their death on treacherous rocks. In Germany, the chief water sprite lent her name to the Loreley, an especially deadly boulder in the Rhine River en route to the North Sea.

So, seems to be miscommunications when it comes to making music with me. Rule number one--Dont Waste My Time. Rule Two The music we do together is both of our works; we both have equal rights. Rule Three Once we create a song you cannot take that away from me. I will share the song as it is treated as a contract between musician and singer. Rule Four Please, refer back to rule one. A Shout Out of Gratitude to everyone sharing commenting and liking our Track Ava's Song: Star Born Child. She succumbed to her injuries in a accident involving a distracted driver. Some of her organs were then donated.She was a really special child that left this world much too soon. She is still with US in spirit and would have loved her song!
