This track was originally on 'Don't You Hide Away' from 2018.  This is a rework in 2024/25 that's taken far, far too many cuts to get close to being what I had in mind.  some of the vocals are a bit dodgy on tuning.  try as I might, I've not been able to fix it.  I certainly can say that the latest additions to Logic just seem to slow down my workflow and put things never quite properly in time.  very frustrating.

living in Singapore, I don't really get to see Autumn any more.  It is a season I love for the colour, the bonfire smells and long evenings with even longer shadows.  Of course there's a very famous sublime tune called Autumn Leaves by Coldcut.  this isn't a cover, and doesn't come close.  but I kept the name from the lyrics.  and whilst it's nothing like the COldcut original - it is in some what my tribute to them.  without them, I wouldn't have discoered dance music, or realised what a mix tape really could be like (JDJ by Coldcut - best mix ever in the history of ever).

Back to Mine: Nick Warren is a DJ mix album, the first in the Back to Mine series, compiled and mixed by Nick Warren. The mix focuses on downtempo tracks, with Allmusic calling it "a smart and non-confrontational mix safe from predawn noise complaints". CMJ New Music Report called it a "felicitous cocktail of psilocybin and mescaline". Iain Stewart, in The Rough Guide to Ibiza and Formentera, viewed Warren's mix as one of the best in the series.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.
