I recently took a couple soft mallets to a 1930s Deagan Vibraharp at an antique store along the St Croix River, pairing it with a field recording I made of a clock ticking its tocks and a little improvisation on a Microfreak patch. For some reason it feels connected to the initial digging I've begun into the work of George Van Tassel. 

"Though my parts would add to my divisions, my faceless cosmic clock records no time."

Then, I wonder then, what does it then record?

The Faceless Cosmic Clock of George Van Tassel

A sleepy blue triceratops rests in the backyard, half-lost in dreams. Around him, faint echoes of hidden predators stir in a mysterious forest — not real, but woven from the imagination of childhood games. In truth, he lies beside the house, a toy wrapped in the golden haze of memory. The music drifts between comfort and unease, between safety and the thrill of imagined danger — a nostalgic hymn to the adventures we created as children, when even a backyard could become a lost world.

This is the last track on my new EP for the r/DungeonSynth "Dungeon Shamble" event. The main water dripping sound is actually a low pizz. string section being fucked with using granular synthesis (the free Argotlunar VST)

Artist & musician living with chronic pain, but inspired by the fun things in life such as video games or a good book, or anything that takes you to another world for a little bit, as well as psychedelic experiences, happy/sad music.
