Key agenda items included deepening defense cooperation, such as potential deals for additional S-400 air defense systems and the Russian offer of licensed co-production for the Su-57 stealth fighter, complemented by Russia’s ratification of the Reciprocal Exchange of Logistic Support (RELOS) pact. Economically, discussions focused on transforming bilateral trade, which surged due to discounted Russian oil imports, aiming for a $100 billion target by 2030 through diversified Indian exports in pharmaceuticals and marine products. Furthermore, the two nations prioritized developing sanctions-resistant financial architecture by linking the RuPay and Mir payment networks and expanding cooperation in areas like civil nuclear energy, new trade corridors, and a labour mobility agreement for skilled workers. India Plays All Sides With Russia Deals
