I had the honor to support one of my music heroes Kofi Stone, at his sold out show in the max room of the Melkweg in Amsterdam. Great gig and even better concert. Amazing support by Barney Artist and cool surprise by maestro Tom Misch.

The healing power of music has the ability to transmute and transform our energy on a cellular level, for better or for worse. This is why with InnerEarPower, I’ve come into the role of being a sound vibration curator, behind the scenes architect of the “vibe’ & essence of a moment a.k.a “DJ”. The term “DJ” holds much more weight and responsibility than people give it credit for nowadays. In our culture, people have gravitated towards DJs for therapy, healing, celebration, and escape from the troubles they experience in their reality. With that being said, I find it important to create high vibrational experiences through sound, that provides the space for people to become one with themselves via the universal heartbeat…….. rhythm. We all have an “InnerEar” (some more heightened than others) that allows us to hear the voice of divinity, the Universe, “God”, or whatever term you personally resonate with. The InnerEar is also sensitive to tones & vibrations, which control almost everything in this world. The goal/mission of InnerEarPower is to lead the collective back to a space where we cherished the sacredness of music, prior to the frequency (Hz) being lowered for control purposes. The problem AND the solution has always been reflected in the music culturally.

Saidou is a Belgian/Senegalese DJ and producer that blends Hip Hop, Rnb, Soul, Funk with Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afrohouse, Afrotech, Reggae and Dancehall. Joakim Frithjof has been quietly making his mark in the underground scene. Starting out with a love for Hip-Hop, turntablism, and early House, his musical journey took a new turn when he moved to Amsterdam in 2005, where clubs like Club11 and Trouw shaped his evolving sound. Over the years, he’s played across Amsterdam, hosted his own parties in Utrecht, and even made appearances in cities like Copenhagen, Berlin, and Stockholm.

His style? Hard to pin down. He loves mixing things up, drawing from House, breakbeat, UK Garage, floathouse, rave, and classics. Always keeping it fresh but never forgetting the roots. He’s more about making people move than fitting into any one box.

Beyond DJ’ing, he applies his wide-ranging taste in music to curating playlists for brands and physical spaces. As Music Director at Kollekt.fm and with his own venture, Sonic Curations, he helps create custom playlists and music identities that not only fit the aesthetic but also enhance the atmosphere, leaving behind a lasting audio impression.

Fun Fact: The first CD he ever bought at age 12 was The Prodigy’s The Fat of the Land, a purchase that marked the beginning of a lifelong obsession with music.
