Depuis plus de 20 ans, la photographe Tina Merandon explore la relation entre l’animal et l’humain, les corps à corps, la place que l’animal domestiqué occupe au sein de différents milieux sociaux, différentes cultures. À Cergy-Pontoise, au Festival du Regard, fascinée par le monde de l’enfance dans ce qu’il revêt de chahuté, ambigu, furtif, elle expose Anima, une série qu’elle a produite en 2021 et qui met en scène, dans des poses toujours improvisées, des enfants autour de l’âge de 11 ans, et qui évoque la manière dont ils peuvent se rapprocher de façon fusionnelle de leur animal préféré. Dans ce nouvel épisode de L’Œil écoute, elle revient avec Yannick Le Guillanton sur son œuvre qui, série par série, nous confronte, en miroir, à ce que nous disent les animaux de nos propres comportements face à la violence, au pouvoir, au libre arbitre, à la mort. Grace was on her way back home when she turned off the highway onto a local road. As she approached another car ahead, she noticed it didn't fully come to a stop at a stop sign. The same thing happened again at the next intersection - the car slowed down but failed to stop completely before passing through. This pattern repeated itself once more as the driver ignored yet another stop sign. Let’s have a listen together!

This song is a piece of my past, a mirror reflecting a time when I believed love could be enough to change someone. It wasn’t. Dripping Fluorescent Dreams is what happens when you wake up from that illusion—when you see the truth, even though it shatters you.
I wrote these lyrics in the aftermath of realizing I had become collateral damage in someone else’s war. The lines capture that slow unraveling—of love, trust, and self-identity. I had to walk through fire to understand that some people aren’t meant to be saved. And maybe, in the end, the real battle was never about them—it was about finding the strength to save myself.
This song is for anyone who’s been discarded, used, or made to feel small. For those who gave everything and were left empty. For those still clawing their way back to themselves. Your story doesn’t end here.
