"Trinity" was born from the idea of three forces colliding — each member of Bleed Electric bringing something different to the altar. It opens the EP as a manifesto, a statement of intent: heavy, relentless, genre-defying. Built on the challenge of going hard without guitars, the track finally surrenders at the climax, exploding into the only true guitar solo in the band’s history — harmonized, ripping, unforgettable. Between poetic rhymes and stacked vocal harmonies, the bridge descends into Revelation itself — seven horns, seven crowns rising from the sea — before detonating into that solo. It’s metal, it’s hip-hop, it’s electronica and alternative all at once. A first-track banger that still feels ahead of its time, “Trinity” leaves you hungry for what’s coming next.

Trinity

At first listen, “Gravity” feels like a love ballad — but its heart is much darker and more personal. Written during a turbulent time when betrayal cut close to home, it’s a song to a younger brother who turned competitor, forcing a reckoning that ultimately sent Bleed Electric across the Atlantic. Wrapped in sleek pop production, it became the band’s most unexpected ballad — vibey, mellow, spacey, yet disarmingly honest. Rich harmonies and a Superman trilogy reference keep it rooted in the Bleed Electric mythology, but the track’s emotional core and clean, polished sound set it apart. Looking back, “Gravity” might be the finest moment in the Bleed Electric catalog: timeless, catchy, and raw in its vulnerability.

Gravity

“Cry Little Sister” pays tribute to one of the greatest films of the 1980s, The Lost Boys — a movie that embodied everything Bleed Electric stood for: dark, cool, and unapologetically disruptive. Keeping faithful to the original’s haunting spirit, the band twisted it into their own future-fresh form, with rap verses telling a deeper story and synths that shimmer like interstellar travel. The children’s choir was reimagined with ethereal keys, while MUG5’s layered harmonies cut through like moonlight on waves. It’s nostalgic yet futuristic, cinematic yet raw. As the second track on Let the Invasion Begin, it slows the pace just enough to draw listeners deeper into the journey — seductive, gothic, and still ahead of its time.

Cry Little Sister

“Boost Your 1’s” is Bleed Electric’s ode to arcade culture — the thrill of chasing an extra life when your pockets are empty and every move matters. With driving beats, 8-bit-styled synths, and swaggering verses, the track declares the band’s next-level status to hometown doubters. “We’re so 1up, I gotta 1 up” becomes both a gamer’s mantra and a statement of intent: Bleed Electric is here to level up. Siege laces the verses with sharp pop culture nods, while the refrain “We is where it’s at, the new skool lava” flips language playfully on its head. It’s bravado and nostalgia in equal measure — a track that celebrates gaming culture while doubling as a playful flex anthem.

Boost Your 1s

Inspired by the 80s cult classic Flight of the Navigator, “Eight Years Late for Dinner” imagines an alternate fate: a soul abducted by aliens, not desperate to return, but thankful for the escape. Where the movie’s hero comes home after eight lost years, Bleed Electric’s subject chooses to stay, gazing back at what might have been while embracing a new cosmic destiny. The track itself feels unearthly, the result of bold studio experimentation — the instrumental was recorded, slowed down, layered with vocals, then slowed again until time seemed to drag at the edges. The effect is disorienting but mesmerizing, like waking up eight years too late for your own life. Closing Let the Invasion Begin on a surreal note, it stands as one of Bleed Electric’s most experimental works, later reborn through a stunning Sven Erler remix that gave the track an entirely different life.

Eight Years Late For Dinner

“Cherry Bomb” channels the rebellious spirit of The Runaways and Joan Jett, refracting their raw energy through Bleed Electric’s lens of lust, love, and experimentation. Opening with feedback and gunfire-like drums, the track weaves between pop intention and chaotic noise, anchored by MUG5’s refrain: “Cherry bomb, you are my cherry bomb, you are my cherry mon cherie.” Siege slips in only briefly with a tiny rap, leaving most of the canvas painted with electric synths, shimmering hooks, and orchestral flourishes that foreshadow what would come on This Is My Masterpiece. Just when you think it’s over, Slik enters with a brutally honest moment of intent, grounding the song in reality. Upbeat, experimental, and unexpectedly heartfelt, “Cherry Bomb” is both fun and devastating — a journey that hits harder than it should.
