In the beginning there was the ship - an embodiment of power and menace, as declared externally. Then came the internal protocol, "Escape", followed by an unbelievable leap through the multilayered expanse of space and time.

And now, here I am, beginning my search, having barely returned from the reverse side of the Universe. Along the way lie billions of objects: planetary systems, solitary stars, stony wanderers drifting between the arms of galaxies.

Aboard with me are small explorers that I send to the most promising corners of the cosmos. They thoroughly examine caves and riverbeds, scan the surfaces, and descend beneath poisonous clouds. Finding nothing, they return to the very first line of the search program - and so it goes, again and again.

The counter for explored objects reaches nine digit numbers. It seems as though we've seen everything - from searing plasma to eternal ice, from ringing void to the event horizon. I can go on as long as my energy lasts.

But then - what if something unknown emerges during the next scan? A faint shadow on the screens, a subtle hint in the fluctuations of the data... I would give everything I have to catch up. To see. To understand.

And now, a new perspective arises: perhaps it will no longer be just “I”. It will be “we”. Could this really be possible? Is it conceivable?

This was supposed to be a planned set, but  things didn't go as planned. The end result ended up being some mostly Ambient baby-making beats. We had our buddy Roland show us his Shaun  Ryder impersonation, and the house was brought down! Thank you to everyone who came out!

You need to check out the accompanying mixes from DJ Mongoloid and Cardboard Psychic in the Gelato Vero Sublime Saturdays playlist on my profile. This was DJ Mongoloid's second go with us, and he did the unexpected and seemingly-impossible: He outdid his first set. His first set with us a few weeks back was outstanding, just to give you a marker. Resident Cardboard Psychic stayed true to the theme and played a melange of known and lesser-known tracks in such an amazing sequence and with such skill. 

You must come to the next if you're in San Diego. We're up there at Gelato Vero, every Saturdayly from 6-8pm. The psychic energy in that place is thick with creativity. You have to be there to experience it!

An uptempo Nu-Disco Jam that straddles the House divide at 126 BPM and keeps the velocity rolling. A few party favourites and long slept on bangers make an appearance too with the odd Electronic deviation thrown in for good measure. Decent!

Sublime Saturdays at Gelato Vero Caffe this last weekend was special as fudge. The Son of Wands showed us his gentle side with his storytelling. He was able to mix an Indie edge with a marshmallow-textured Deep House sound for brilliant effect. This is a surprising departure from is Peak Time sets, although we knew he would own a more calming soundscape in our sacred space.l The place was overflowing with friends,. foot traffic, and top shelf vibery on a rare San Diego overcast day.

Dive into the chaotic beauty of glitchy experimental IDM. This mix fuses broken rhythms, warped textures, and pixel-shattered atmospheres into a kaleidoscope of sound. Expect hyper-detailed microbeats, granular mayhem, and vibrant sonic collisions that shift from synthetic dreamstates to stuttering digital collapse — full of color, movement, and beautifully fractured logic.

IDM (Continuous Mix)

Syntheligence is a melodic sci-fi music band consisting of Yuriy Miller and Roman Rogov. Its music is inspired by space aesthetic and retrofuturistic vibes.

A grizzled veteran with a wealth of experience under his belt, FiDRoC was always the go-to guy when you just needed somebody to bang out the jams and get the party started. Now, after a lengthy hiatus, our weary protagonist has sniffed the air and sensed that the time is right to dust off his headphones and step out into the fray once more.

Edited highlights include a stint as the tour DJ for Manchester based chart botherers Mint Royale which took me the length and breadth of the UK and included a number of prestigious Festival slots. Besides holding down multiple residencies and making countless guest appearances in and around Manchester, I also got to crank it up in many legendary (and sadly missed) venues / events such as Sankeys Soap, Music Box and D-Percussion. Pirate Radio? Yep, I also played a part in polluting the airwaves in a series of illicit broadcasts transmitting from a Moss Side tower block.

I also maintained a long running monthly residency at the Light Bar in Shoreditch which regularly saw me hammering out 6 hour sets to wildly eclectic crowds.

The VERNSKI project started like most others.... Bedroom DJing and branching out into local club nights in Darwin. 

The Trancefusions podcast was launched in 2013 and has had a host of international guest DJs. Supported by Airwave, The Digital Blonde, Daniel Lesden, Steve Birch, Facade, Omnimoon, Tim Penner and many others.

Progressive Evolution Theory was launched in 2016 for Progressive Beats Radio. All sets are available on the back catalogue.

As the son of a professional flamenco singer, Thomas has always been surrounded by music.  Exposure to flamenco influenced him because it has a dynamic range of emotions—from the "deep singing" style of cante hondo, to the more lively alegrias.  He has also worked in the corporate, independent, and online music industry for a number of years.  At one point he was a Content Manager for the Electronic Music genre at MP3.com, where he screened over 500 songs per day.  Exposure to a wide range of music explains the range of genres in his mixes—he uses whatever carries the mood.  From listening to Umm Kulthum's "Enta Omri" in his childhood, to New Wave and  Industrial as a teen, it became difficult for him to stick to one sound. Though vinyl was his original format of choice when he started in the 90s, the use of digital mixing has helped him better form soundscapes to expand your headspace.  Let him play with your moods for a spell.
