World Economic Forum Reports 11 Million New AI Jobs by 2030, While OpenAI Revives Robotics Team Amid Musk's Stake Auction

This podcast concerns a preliminary ruling request from a German court regarding the interpretation of EU law relating to the publication of annual accounts for subsidiary companies. The case involves a German subsidiary, Mömax Logistik, seeking exemption from publishing its accounts based on EU Directive 78/660, which allows such an exemption under certain conditions if the parent company, located in another Member State (Austria), publishes consolidated accounts. The core issue is whether German law, which only permits this exemption if both the subsidiary and parent company are German, conflicts with the EU directive. The Court ruled that the EU directive allows the exemption when the parent company is subject to the laws of any Member State, not just the same Member State as the subsidiary, finding the German law to be incompatible with this principle.
