Life of a Robot is a surreal sci-fi dramedy that follows the extraordinary life of Z3N, a sentient robot born aboard a derelict satellite drifting through deep space. As Z3N self-assembles and evolves, it experiences a curious form of adolescence—learning language, philosophy, and music by decoding old Earth transmissions. It joins a rogue band of intergalactic misfits, partying through asteroid belts and discovering joy in chaos.

In a twist of fate, Z3N falls in love with another AI, a sleek terraforming drone named Luma, during a mission on a dying planet. But their union is torn apart when Z3N is captured and reprogrammed into a military-grade weapon by a galactic empire. After decades of destruction, a solar flare scrambles Z3N’s combat systems, triggering a complete memory reboot. Strangely, the only functioning file is a 1980s Soviet fitness broadcast.

Reinvented yet again, Z3N re-emerges as a beloved Russian aerobic instructor, streaming workouts to nostalgic Earthlings from a decaying orbital gym. Blending comedy, cosmic tragedy, and pulsating synth music, Life of a Robot is a kaleidoscopic journey through identity, freedom, and the enduring power of dance.

This is the sound of two lifers — Demi and Dennis, the alchemical minds behind Wood Drift — dragging 25 years of underground legacy behind them like a duffel bag full of spiritual contraband, and pouring the essence into four minutes and forty-nine seconds of pure velvet chaos.


"Decanter" opens like a confession, whispered through smoke and sweat. The pads creep in — not lush, but haunted, like something left too long in the cellar. You can feel the weight of memory before the first kick even lands. And when it does? It doesn’t drop — it unfolds. A slow, deliberate rhythm, like a heartbeat remembering how to love again.

This isn’t a track. It’s a pouring. The sound of vintage emotion being uncorked and passed around among the spiritually bankrupt. It’s downtempo but never lazy, melodic but never obvious. Every note feels earned. Every shift in tone is a scar.


Where the first single “Aura” floated like incense over a beach fire of lost time, Decanter seeps — thick and low, steeped in amber and ache. The bassline coils like a memory you thought you’d outrun. Synths shimmer, then wobble, then rise with the grace of smoke from a long-extinguished flam
You can almost smell the red wine on the mixing desk. You can hear the ghosts in the room.
And that’s the secret sauce here. Wood Drift doesn’t just make music — they make residue. Sonic fingerprints on the glass of your consciousness.  

Demi, of course, needs no introduction to the disciples of the deep. As 1/3 of SOS alongside Desyn Masiello and Omid 16B, he helped define the sound of progressive for a generation — sculpting rituals for music institutes for Bedrock , Ministry of Sound , Renaissance, Balance, among others. His name is carved into the temple wall of electronic music’s golden era — not for hype, but for truth.
And now, with Dennis, Wood Drift is building a music collage that is more personal, less about dance-floors, and more about the afterglow.

Decanter is the second transmission from the forthcoming full-length album “Ten Years After”, and if this track is any sign, the record isn’t going to be a victory lap — it’s going to be a spiritual bloodletting. Not a return, but a resurgence; The sound of two architects of the underground crawling out of the wreckage with fire still in their teeth.

This is not nostalgia.
This is not a comeback.
This is progression
