Welcome to another edition of the Drone Podcast. We would like to thank Deniell Biswane for his set. Make sure to check his input for the Drone Podcast No. 101.

TOn this weeks show we travel to Stuttgart, Germany for our next Techno Minded Hero. He started DJing with vinyl from a young age and was noticed by many great promoters which resulted in playing in places like the infamous Tresor Berlin. With Djing in his fingers he expanded his vision on Techno as a producer. Again it didn’t take much time for him being noticed by labels, like the one from the late great Techno Minded Hero Mike Wall’s: Wall Music. Other great labels that we can mention are Counter Pulse, Neuhain, De-Konstrukt, to name a few.

Nowadays he is working as a label manager at music distributor DigDis!

For this weeks podcast he granted us with a 2 hour live mix recorded at Subground Magdeburg. You can expect 2 hours of pounding and banging techno tracks. A great dose of energy provide by our next Techno Minded Hero.

Biography
Christian Kögler aka ’Chris Koegler’, Techno Artist, Producer, Label Manager and A and R from Stuttgart.

Chris was born in 1987 in the outskirts of Ulm, Germany. As an infant of only 12 years old, he first got in touch with music. At the age of 20, Chris visited a DJ school in Ulm, where he digged deep into a world of vinyl, literally learning the real Djing. Soon, he got his first gigs in clubs and also grew fast for bigger venues and succeeded getting his first jobs on festivals such as SEMF festival in Stuttgart, Germany. Chris used to work as a resident DJ at Zollamt, a Techno club in Stuttgart and got also booked for the legendary ’Tresor’ in Berlin and a whole bunch of more cities like Basel Switzerland, Cologne, Duesseldorf, Freiburg, Nuernberg, Heilbronn, Ulm and on and on.

As a producer, Chris published his music on labels such as Wall Music, Counter Pulse, Neuhain, Blackrod, De-Konstrukt and MONOTON:audio where he also works as an A and R manager.

Chris Koegler is a full time employee as a label manager at dig dis!, a Stuttgart based music distributor where he supports over 110 Techno labels.

Having performed in the past at Awakenings, Soenda, Techno Flash, Planet Rose and his own Mental Evolution, alongside personal inspirations like Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Regis, Paul has earned his stripes through dedication and hard work. Consequently, a Boex DJ-set is very much like a fine dinner; sophisticated and carefully chosen ingredients arranged under an expert chef’s watchful eye. The end result a dish both familiar and surprising in taste, never the same, always fulfilling.

Recently Paul joined forces with friend and fellow artist Dave Miller to form Abstract Division. Within seemingly no time they have caught the attention of many an ear and eye, putting out quality music on various labels and delivering an intriguing and deft stage performance at every gig.

Dynamic Reflection, Paul’s own label, saw the light of day in 2008 and has since then evolved into a proper, vision-based, heavyweight imprint. Releasing both own material and work by among others Oscar Mulero, Ben Sims, Jonas Kopp, Shifted, ROD, Reeko, Forward Strategy Group, Norman Nodge, Peter van Hoesen, Samuli Kemppi and Jeroen Search, it has left an unmistakeable mark on the genre itself. What makes Dynamic Reflection stand out in particular is its owner’s determination to maintain a careful balance between well-known producers and upcoming talent, always allowing for an influx of unconventional, innovative music.

Now, with many promising plans scheduled, both in terms of performances and productions, the future is looking bright for Paul, Abstract Division and Dynamic Reflection alike.

BIO

Andrey Detochkin is an electronic music artist. He is specializing in different types of techno music and experiments with deep sound. Originally Andrey comes from Latvia and currently based in Germany. In the late 90s, he began to explore DJing and electronic music production. At that time in Latvia was a powerful wave of music and rave culture. Many raves, open-air, indoor music events, and festivals were happening around the Baltic States. It had a significant influence on Andrey as a musician and inspired his path in techno music.

From 1999 he played DJ sets at various events around the country and experimenting with sounds in his home studio.

In 2010, Andrey began performing under the pseudonym Andrey Detochkin.
In 2012, his unreleased track “Inoculation From Anger” was featured by Dave Clarke on his weekly radio show “White Noise”.
In 2017, American label “Labrynth” releases the first single by Andrey Detochkin – “Ainitium”.

After that, Andrey continued to publish his tracks on various labels.

In 2019, Andrey launched the label “Dux Sonus”. The label focuses on different types of deep and minimalistic techno, electro, and experimental electronic music. Dux Sonus also presents its podcast where various musicians and DJs worldwide share their sound material and DJ sets to contribute to the underground culture.

In 2021 Andrey released his first album “New Horizons”, on Force Inc. Music Works Records.

At the moment, Andrey continuing to write music and participates in various collaborations.
