This song was written by Bill Halley and recorded first by Jimmie Rodgers (in pic) in 1932.
In my version I sing and play the guitars and banjos (Plectrum and Tenor). I produced this at my home with Band in a Box and Reaper.

Miss The Mississippi And You (Bill Halley 1932)

A difficult song to work with, I think because I could not make my mind up about the genre/style. Finally found a country style suited it. I have cloned my own voice for this track, although the AI has included a western drawl. Goes with the territory. I was happy with it in the end though.

It is another from 1979, did not realise that I had been so prolific over this period of my life. From going back over the last few songs I was also covering many different styles.

Oh yes nearly forgot, anybody remember Tom Dooley. This seems to have that song as an inspiration.
