“Muziek valt soms gewoon niet in een hokje te plaatsen”

Ik ben Patrick Garritsen en speel, schrijf, mix, master en produceer mijn eigen nummers die een beetje schommelen tussen Pop, Rock, Country en Stonerrock gebied. Verwacht een breed assortiment aan stijlen, maar vooral toffe deuntjes! 

Ruige riffs
Iedereen heeft wel een kant die geniet van wat zwaarder muzikaal werk. Of dat nou meer lijkt op Sabaton, Volbeat, Rammstein of op Sleep, Black Sabbath en Slayer, het voed allemaal een bepaalde drang. Dat heb ik dus ook! Er is een headbangende muzikale kant van mij die smacht naar het maken van steviger werk met swingende drums, ruige riffs en een hoog ‘metblehr’ (mee schreeuwen) gehalte. 

Prairie Muziek
Een passende naam voor een andere flinke portie van het repertoire is ‘Prairie Muziek’, Americana stijl nummers met uitstapjes naar Folk, Pop, Indie en grove rock. Als het maar western sferen oproept geschikt voor iedere veranda sessie! Deze nummers vul ik aan met kenmerkende Country klanken als gitaartokkelwerk, banjo, steelguitar en mondharmonica.

Het valt af en toe gewoon niet in een hokje te plaatsen. De tijd van denken en overpijnzen is over, we gaan gewoon doen en zien wel waar het schip strand. De ideeën, demo’s en 99% af nummers moeten van het schap af en de wereld in! In de aankomende jaren kun je diverse singles, een paar EP’s en een album (of 3?) verwachten vol toffe deuntjes, ruige riffs en Prairie Muziek.
