The song mourns the dreamer who became a showman, the prophet who traded truth for prime-time. It’s a portrait of betrayal. Not of others, but of oneself. 

Behind the gospel and the flags lies a silence too loud to ignore. The preacher flies high, but the boy from Cedarwood… is gone.

I've admired Waeys' sound engineering and overall quality for a long time. In my opinion, he's been one of the best in the drum & bass scene for the past five years - consistently brilliant and, I’d say, underrated. This track isn’t so much a remix as it is a collaboration of sounds; I approached it more as a shared effort. I wanted to preserve the core essence of the original, which is truly unique, and build around it without changing too much.

This song conveys a futuristic and socially conscious anthem that blends sharp lyrical critique with an epic, cinematic soundscape. The structure moves from an atmospheric introduction to explosive choruses and a dramatic bridge, mirroring the tension between illusion and awakening. [#1] The selfproclaimed king tries flooding everything
The flood in the time of Deucalion was caused by the anger of Zeus.
King Lycaon of Arcadia had sacrificed a boy to Zeus, who, appalled by this offering, decided to put an end to the "Bronze" Age by unleashing a deluge. 

[#2] Tree of liberty
a quote by Thomas Jefferson.
In a 1787 letter to William Stephens Smith, John Adams' son in law, Thomas Jefferson wrote about a copy of the new constitution. 

[#3] Wisdom for the doves
comes from the biblical instruction to "be wise as serpents and innocent as doves" (Matthew 10:16), which advises a balance between shrewdness and harmlessness.

[#5] Mad Elephant

The term was coined in 1902 by banker and writer Ludwig Max Goldberger after a study trip.

A metaphor for Chinese immigrants who arrived in the 19th century to participate in Gold Rush and the construction of the Central Pacific Railroad.
