HO has been realized with the Csound synthesis-language. Percussive islands of sound. Spatial movements, modulated noise, lingering sound in a wide space. Moving area. Deconstruction of the sound islands, variation, densification and repetition. Single steps prove the composers temporary attendance in a quietful and specific location called HO in western Denmark.

These are two studies realized in Csound in 1995 and revised in 2025. The first is a study on the timbral variations resulting from the interference of sounds with closely related frequencies; the second is a study on noise and the manipulation of sound through filters, delay, and feedback.

I recorded 15 layers of guitar, each processed through a different Csound instrument that I wrote anew for each layer.  Each layer is simple, each has its own timbre.  Somehow I find it all comforting.

Tōge Morita (1924-2013) was a Japanese teacher and poet from Osaka. In the early 50s, he started publishing his poems in the Katsuragi 葛城 magazine, later becoming its editor-in-chief and, in 1990, its editor.

Performance, composition, sound installations, and programming. I work as a professor of music technology at NTNU.
I am particularly interested in the interaction of composition and improvisation, and I use various custom software solutions for improvisatory interplay between me and the computer.
Another area of special focus for me is granular synthesis (what I'd like to term "particle synthesis" when merging all known forms of the granular technique). I use Csound and Python as my main tools, and I've designed some opcodes for the Csound language.
In the past I have worked with the groups Krøyt and Motorpsycho.
