A key figure in the Wave and Italo resurgence, Curses returns under the Tutto Vetro alias with his new EP Trust The Beat on Wrong Era. “Wild Things” showcases infectious melodies and commanding percussion, capturing the raw, emotional, and futuristic energy of a time when trance, post-EBM, and Detroit techno merged.

Ombra International founder Venezia builds an arcane atmosphere with haunting vocals and metallic textures, while Wrong Era co-captain and innovator Fabrizio Mammarella reinterprets “Wild Things,” adding his unique percussive energy.

Fear narrows our field of vision, heightening the chance to miss the obvious. When attention collapses toward threat, nuance disappears. The storm becomes only danger, never the wonder of electricity dancing across the sky, never the vastness of atmosphere and it makes us forget about what freedom can be. What safety can be. Without shelter, the mind stays defensive and compassion shrinks, ripping us of our ability to form empathy, curiosity and patience. 

The mistake is not hiding from lightning. The mistake is never stepping back outside once the storm passes. Wisdom is rhythmic: retreat, then return and when the next storm comes, you know when to step outside again. 

In this time of crisis a subtle smile can be more powerful than the net worth of a billionaire. So dance, make people smile, stay kind and never forget: it´s not about me, it´s about us.  

Drawing inspiration from the analog synth and drum aesthetics of the 80s, the haunting vocals of 90s dark wave, and the cinematic atmospheres of dark, nostalgic drama, Barnow's sound moves between eras and genres while keeping a distinct sonic identity. Groovy rhythms merge with forward-driving energy; melodic passages intertwine with fierce beats, creating a sound that feels both intimate and raw. 

At its core, Barnow explores the tension between opposing emotional forces: melancholy and ecstasy. Loneliness and unity.
