The Tale of Sigurd and the Dragon Fafnir
Sigurd, a legendary hero, slays the dragon Fafnir, who guards a hoard of treasure. Along with his act of bravery, Sigurd's story is full of betrayal, magic, and tragic consequences. Sigurd is later betrayed by his wife, Gudrun, which leads to his death. This saga could work well for a track with themes of heroism, the corrupting influence of greed, and tragic love..
