For young Berlin artist INDOME, seeking the stage spotlight whilst fostering a loving community around her is a transformative practice to emancipate from trauma and grief. What might seem contradictory – striving for independence against being emotionally available to her peers – goes hand in hand for INDOME.

Her debut album “Permission To Feel” is the emotionally striking testament of a talented, warm hearted girl with Southeast Asian roots, who grows up to be a woman in the south of Germany and Berlin. In the midst of the turmoil that is coming of age she had to deal with losing her Indonesian father. To process the loss and deal with new questions about identity, she eventually found solace in writing about it. Her album “permission to feel” explores the power of vulnerability: “I wanted to create a space where all emotions are allowed to be felt—whether positive or negative.”

Tracks like “Shame Ya” and “Permission To Feel” deal with shame, emotional repression, and the struggle for self-acceptance. “Island Girl” pays tribute to her Indonesian roots and her father with original field recordings from Bali, while “I’ll Be Alright” offers a light-hearted celebration of friendship and resilience.

Written and mostly produced by INDOME herself, the 10-track album blends intimate R&B vocals with contemporary electronic sound spheres, like Drum’n’Bass and Jungle. While taking the creative lead, INDOME collaborated with a talented cast of friends, many of them creatives from her hometown Freiburg who moved to Berlin alongside her. She wrote “I Choose You” together with her band collective kitch. Band member and experimental jazz artist Calida Ray plays piano on multiple songs. The band’s drummer, Leevi Lamadé alias LOUSELV, co-produced “Blurred Out Path” alongside JOHN PLAYER, another of her hometown affiliates. Just like Euro Chan who mixed the album with INDOME and produced three songs with his Berlin buddy Hazy030.

As part of a young, vibrant creative community in Berlin, INDOME created a visual campaign created in close collaboration with young creative duo Laís Yukie de Souza Takano and Joe Huth alias MEANT2B\ONFILM. The visuals tackle themes like addiction, eating disorders, queer expression, and self-empowerment—amplifying INDOME’s mission to create space for emotional truth and human connection.

Yunze Ou is a sonic exploration where nature, textures, and experimentation merge into a profound and hypnotic journey. It's the latest project from a producer who prefers to remain anonymous, but whose productions move between IDM, glitch, and ambient. With a rhythmic base that converges at low bpms and up to 170 bpm, this project interweaves elements of deep techno, ambient, and drum & bass/halftime, creating immersive and dynamic soundscapes.

“Circuits” is a 4-track journey that weaves together the raw pulse of halftime and drum & bass with the serenity of the natural world. Inspired by rural landscapes, mountain air, and open skies, the EP explores the intersection of organic and digital—where winding forest paths meet lines of code, and birdsong echoes through data streams. Each track channels a different facet of this fusion: from dense, atmospheric textures to precise, tech-driven rhythms. Circuit is both a tribute to the untouched and a meditation on the systems—natural and artificial—that shape our experience.

Preparing this set reminded me that sometimes the role of a DJ is simply to deliver great music. 

It forced me to focus on avoiding vocal clashes, harmonic discordance and ways of navigating huge variations in song structure. I’ve learnt a massive amount from executing this mix. 

It begins with smooth, soulful and melodic liquid D&B, followed by some harder, bass-driven sounds and ends on an uplifting note with some super-jazzy, funky vibes.

Just a sad, lowly, middle-aged bedroom DJ from Donny who should probably be doing something far more productive with my life!

I don’t even mix vinyl anymore. It’s pathetic! 
I’m basically worthless 😂 

Joking aside, I try to record sets of the highest quality when the opportunity arises at the same time as looking after my elderly mother. It keeps me motivated, provides me with a creative outlet and fits in nicely with my caring responsibilities. It’s a perfect escape from the harsh and mundane realities of life. 

Music is my lifeblood. Whatever floats your boat as they say! I have embraced the digital age of mixing so that I can gain access to modern music. 

I mostly play progressive and melodic house & breaks on the Pioneer XDJ-RX3 now, which is a near-flawless piece of kit that I can wholeheartedly recommend. 

My focus is always to select top-drawer tunes, create smooth, seamless transitions and build a progressive flow throughout every set. 

A massive thank you to anyone who listens to, likes or reposts my mixes. It is greatly appreciated. If I can bring some joy to even a single person then it makes the process worthwhile.
