Für die aktuelle EP „Still“ haben Vadot die Synths hinter sich gelassen und stattdessen alle Songs von Hand gemeinsam als Band „klassisch“ erarbeitet. Sie wurden im heimischen Keller in Kreuzberg mit Schlagzeug, Gitarre, Bass und Gesang eingespielt. „Still“ schaut zurück auf das, was war, und stellt gleichzeitig die Frage, in welchen Zeiten wir aktuell leben. Still & Beyond enthält drei Bonustracks und hebt die EP auf die Ebene auf einen Longplayer

Coronardefekt is an electronic music project from Halle (Saale), Germany, that has been developing the connection between sound, technology, and emotion since the early 1990s.

My journey began in 1992, when a fascination with electronic sound generation and synthesizers laid the foundation for everything that followed. Influenced by Depeche Mode, Front 242, Delerium, Front Line Assembly, Dead Can Dance, and many others, I began creating my own sonic worlds – dark, driving, and emotional.

My music moves freely between Electro, House, EBM, Hip-Hop, and experimental sound structures – everything that inspires, excites, and moves me. I produce with a variety of synthesizers and analog sound sources – including the Yamaha MOXF6, Microkorg-S, Deepmind 12, Arturia Microbrute, Yamaha DX7, and Behringer TD-3-BU – with Ableton Live as the creative hub.

Each track is created with a focus on atmosphere, texture, and emotion – an expression of my personal sound journey. So far, all releases have remained private, but the essence lies in the creative process itself: sound research, sound design, and the pure joy of electronic music.

I don’t see myself as a product, but as an ongoing experiment – a project that grows, transforms, and continually redefines itself.

Seit 2009 arbeiten VADOT entschlossen an ihrer Idee, elektronische Musik mit analogen Instrumenten wie Schlagzeug, Gitarre, Bass und Gesang zu verbinden. 

Nach ihrem Debüt „In Gottes Namen“, veröffentlicht das Trio 2012 sein zweites Album »Teufels Beitrag« und macht damit einen Ausflug zum Label „Danse Macabre“ (u.a. Das Ich). Es folgen deutschlandweite Konzerte, Gastspiele in Rumänien, sowie diverse Festivalauftritte (u.a. auf dem WGT 2012 bis 2019). Im Jahr 2016 erscheint „Von Luft und Likes“ das dritte VADOT-Album bei „popsirup“. Das zitty-Magazin kürt die CD in der Erscheinungswoche zum ‘Tonträger der Woche’. Mit ihrem Album „Resonanz“ erbeutet die Band 2018 überschwänglich lobende Kritiken und schafft es bis auf Platz 3 der DAC (Deutschen Alternativ Charts).

Für Bands wie Grossstadtgeflüster, Schwefelgelb, oder Sigue Sigue Sputnik waren VADOT unter anderem als Support unterwegs. Mit ihrer leidenschaftlichen Bühnenpräsenz erspielen sich die Berliner in den vergangen zehn Jahren ein treues Publikum.
